High Lights

Thanks Clyde, Scott , Well first night to town wasn't to bad for me an Snooter . We had a good cast an a great guide . Our reg. cast had the most plus points then any of the other reg. cast. We fell short an it was my fault due to my handling so we lost our cast by 25pts. but it will not be our last we shall return ( LOOK OUT ). Over all we had a good time . Did win class an breed in the show .

The best hound I was ever in the woods with was a direct daughter of Moyers blue Chubbs. Grand Nite Ch. Coopers laydown Sally was owned by my hunting buddy Dale Adkins. She could flat get it done in a hurry!

HIGH LIGHTS

Well you can tell that summer is about to be here in full swing. I have been real busy at work , it's been wide open but it's that time of year for us. Took Blitz out for awhile last night with a good friend of mine an my boy Braxton. We went down to a swamp bottom and they struck right off. My friend (Darrell) english female got in deep real fast with the track an Blitz hit up a couple times going down in the bottoms but would not stay loaded up then he tighten up and got in deeper an loaded up . Treed in a big poplar with roots hanging running down off a slew into the swamp but could not find it. Darrell said that old Sadie was going to send us to school on the 2nd drop we needed to be prepared for it . Blitz struck in at 200 yards an work the heart of this swamp an loaded up an was telling Darrell to come an grade him on his test with 2 big eyes looking down on him and no english female to be found with him. He scored a A+, Braxton said that the english female needed to stay around for extra credits. Well time to go to the woods , keep you posted ! Enuff Said

HIGH LIGHTS

Me an Braxton loaded up Blitz an Bell she had been down at my daddy for the winter he wanted to raise some pups out of her. So we thought we knock some rust off of her since it been awhile . She a direct daughter Smokey River Fred's Crow(GRNITECH Smokey River Blue Fred x Welch's Blue Angel and NITECH Rhodes's Tom-Dulley x Dogwood Treeing Blue Peach). 1st drop Blitz struck in at 435 yrds. down the creek followed by Bell and they work a bad track for about 30 minutes and Blitz loaded up an Bell back him an what a TREE DOG !!!!!!! I found the coon and we called it a night. ( Thrusday night)

Friday night we went over to Rosalia , Ala. and took Blitz to town for the first time. 4 dog cast 1 english female an 2 walker males an Blitz . 1st drop - struck in 2nd an split treed for 125 the other 3 treed all together SLICK! Blitz is setting with the coon . Then just when I thought we could stay in the driver seat he done something that I have not seen him do tree in a hole but he did and pulled out a greaser on top of it an the rest went down hill from there. Boy was I mad at him, but over all we had a good time and a great cast . We will be back, maybe next time we can get a break . Enuff Said!

Hunts

It can be discouraging at times but thats what makes the good stories down the road. Sounds like ol' Blitz has the ability to get split and have the meat and thats what wins casts. Good luck with him.

HIGH LIGHTS

Took off last night and made a couple of turn outs with Snooter an Big Jim. I had Jim farmed out this past winter to a buddy of mine. Pick him up Easter weekend and he has not been out since February. 1st drop Snooter opened a hand full of times but could not get anything going with it and never heard Jim make a sound either. Called them in an loaded up to make another drop.2nd drop both hounds went in about 450 yards an Snooter struck a good track an Jim opened a little left handed to her but both of them got it figured out and went to working it hard. Heard Jim load up but he did not stick to it , then I heard Snooter load up but she did the same and did not stick to it. Snooter an Jim started to get out of hearing so I started to walk in a little to stay up with them but the they had got on the back side of a ridge an I lost hearing of them for awhile. Almost to the top of this ridge I heard both of them treeing. They were treed in a good oak tree but there were other trees crosssing into there tree an the leaves were so thick if it was there I could not get it to look.3rd drop Snooter struck in at 265 yards an peeked around on old track an work it out and headed right back toward the truck with it. Jim went the other dirrection when I turn loose an never did cover her on this track. Just about 120 yards from the truck Snooter loaded up and Jim came to her. They where treed in a wild pecan tree with great big white oaks around it an limbs crosssing all over each other . Never did find it , so I called it a night it was 2:30 am and 5:30 comes early. Wanted to go tonight but got to be at the vet early in the morning to make a drop off for a Brucellosis test before going to work.

HIGH LIGHTS

Had a good trip an meet Mr. Winder and pickup Sugar Ray really like what I have brought back to Georgia. It was a pleasure to meet Mr. Winder an helping me get Bell to Darren so she can have a date with Banjo this week , THANKS guys for the Help!

Took Blitz out for awhile , a good friend of mine Rusty Robertson wanted to see Blitz go. So we took off down to a big dairy farm that he hunts. 1 st drop Blitz struck up around a pond an drove it in there about 300 yards an loaded up . Treed in a hardwood tree in a ditch line with all kinds of small trees growing up around it , hard to shine but didn't get to spend alot of time at the tree due to hornets . 2nd drop Blitz struck in at 425 yards near a lake and drove it up a ridge an down next to a silage pit and turn it backup to the ridge into some shell rocks an it went into a hole. 3rd drop we hard Blitz strike in across a hay field at 623 yards and went up a ridge an down a fence line and up a ridge an loaded up . Went to him and it was like a jungle but got him to look once and that was it . Like the summer but I do not like camoflauge you deal with . Seen 1 setting up an had 3 cross the road but Rusty had Sunday school to teach an it was already 2:30 am an we called it a night.
