Big problem is where do you get the non-hunting judges? Pay them?
UKC had trouble getting enough judges to judge qualifier casts. If you have 6 or 7 casts do you think 6 or 7 people are going to donate 4 or 5 hours to watch dogs hunt that they don't own? NO!

Rules are honor rules

Doesn't sound like much , but going through the stress of barring or filing a formal complaint through Ukc is known to be a hassle. If clubs on a local would do this and even notify each other of a shady individual , that would help too . Some of the local shiesters if seen will stop all BS and cheating when they start to really tarnish their name ..... They end up either getting worse or clean up their act.... Maybe I'm all wrong and this is a stupid idea but it's just an idea

This is the best post on here . The old club that I belonged to would ban or bar people . The club barred one guy for life because of his drunken antics when he broke the Nt.Ch. trophy across the bumper and hood of his truck . But you have to start somewhere and have the backbone to take a stand to get some of these cheater/ trouble makers setting on the sideline watching and not participating . Good post Daniel .

I'm always amazed at how many actually believe that non hunting judges are some kind of cheat proof mechanism. In the real world, non hunting judges can be just as bad and often much worse than hunting judges.

NON HUNTING JUDGES??

LOL.

GOT BURNED BY A NON HUNTING JUDGE/GUIDE 2 YRS AGO AT A RQE ONTED,MI.
JUDGE SAID THERE WAS A COON INSIDE THE DEN{HOLLOW TREE} OF HIS BUDDIES DOGS TREE AND + IT.
I LOOKED THERE WASN'T NO COON.I CALLED HIM OUT ON IT....HE SAID "I'M THE JUDGE,NOBODY ELSE HAS TO SEE IT."AND WALKED AWAY.
IF HE WOULD HAVE MINUSED THE DOG,I WOULD HAVE WON THE ENTIRE HUNT.

HAVEN'T WENT BACK.
1 TIME IS ALL I NEED.

Shoot I had a none hunting judge go with me to a split one night. I didn't know him from adam. Now I can usually see a coon. I looked and looked. Had got back to the other side across a big ditch. About a min left he hollers. Here he is. I take off that way. He then hollers. You don't have to climb that ditch again cause what Im the only one that has to see it lol. I don't see how I missed it. He said it was in the first fork. Which was not 12 feet off the ground. I'll always wonder if it was there!

Minus it and you'd win? Thought it was a den? My point is this.......
I agree with some of this post but the other problem is....ALOT of people can't handle being beat or may not understand the rules so its often said that someone got cheated and really it's someone not wanting to swallow their pride and say they actually just got beat or just don't understand the rules. I've been at this a long time and went hard at it when I was younger but can honestly say the only time I've ever been cheated was by a non hunting judge other than one time. Been beaten ALOT and most times I just needed to go home and do more homework through the week. It happens but not as much as everyone complains about

a person could crawl in and see there was no coon.
15ft tall,no leaves,nothing in it or on it....period!!!!!!!!!!!!
"judge" wouldn't let his 12 yr old son look inside either......
even if it was circled,i win.

I ain't into this comp. huntin' but the way I see it,it's got so big that some of these guys have let it go to their heads & it's only win any way they can. I reckon the only solution is pleasure hunt with a buddy & with draw at hunt when you draw one of them slick handlers, when asked why you with drew tell the cast why, this is just my 2 cents worth, ain't tryin' too start any b.s.

My point exactly. So you can see how a story can be misconstrued. And I'm not saying that towards any one person and not saying nobody ever gets cheated just that this happens quite a bit too.
