I worry some about even the ones I don't particularly like . If I happened to find myself with one that was making me nearly as much in stud fees ( tax free ) as I was making on my job I'd be protecting that old boy and hunting something out of him . Dogs life is short to say the least and sometimes they're not spring chickens by the time the world realizes what you've got . Add to that some get to touchy to hunt when being studded a lot .
In the bigger picture most of us will never own one that makes us more than we have to claim to the IRS at the end of year .

rough creek i do see your side of the coin on the frozen semen but what about having a dog collected to make it easier for those who want to breed their female. there is a male dog i would like to breed my female to if she makes the right kind but that dog is in louisianna and i am in ohio i imagine driving my truck would cost me about 200-250 each way plus hotel accomadations because i can't drive it straight threw then paying the stud fee. and then praying i catch her on the right day. it would be more economical to have the semen shipped in to my vet have progestion test ran to make sure she is exactly right and breed her that way. i think you have to see that side of the coin from the female owners perspective
