Here are a few past hounds that I have fed Sportmix to with 2 - 2 1/2 cups a day and hunting them on regular basis.
Grnitech Hardknockin Peacemaker

Nitech Ch Caney Creek Late Nite Storm

Grnitech Caney Creek Brandi2

Grnitech Caney Creek Brandi
The mother to the above 3
She was the Best COONDOG that I have ever walked behind!
And for anyone that hunted with her can tell you that they walked many of good miles to this female to look up at a coon.
She had one of the prettiest locates, and a hard chop mouth stay put till you get there tree dog.

Weight

Everyone is talking about a measuring cup full. You cannot go by volume since the desity of liquid vs. dogfood is different. Even the densities of various brands of dog food will vary. You have to to by weight - 1 Cup = 8oz.

As has already been mentioned, every dog is different & what some will do well on others will not.

My friend Harry & I are partners on a female hound that has always been hard to keep weight on. We tried several of the Diamond foods (EA & Naurals) & did not have luck with any of them. She still did not look good & would get heated up really bad, especially on the EA.

Victor Dog Food is being sold now in my area, so Harry got a bag of the 26/18 w/Glucosomine & Chondrotin to try. I sure don't profess to know why, but that little gyp looks the best she has ever looked on this feed & does not heat up near as bad. Her recovery time after being treed for a while on a warm night is noticably better as well. Cools down much quicker & is not taking near as much water. I do not know the exact amount Harry is giving her daily, but I would guess 3 to 3 1/2 cups (24-28 oz.). We were just relieved to finally stumble across a feed she would stay looking good on.
