Johnathon, You are right, Bella does have a huge mouth and a great personality. What type of mouth did Josie have? On track and on tree.....

She would wine right before she struck if you heard a whimper you could strike her off of it cause the next thing you would hear sounded like a mountain lion.... People would say what was that!!! She was 40-to 45 pounds soakin' wet and had a male dog mouth on the ground... She would come on the tree with two or three dying locates and then it sounded like water dripping... bout 45 to 55 barks a minute... If she got tired of standing up she would lay down at the base of the tree, cross her fron feet and throw her head back... If you had the time and energy to keep her hunted down she was dynomite! in a small package... I went to charles garris place and picked her up at 7 weeks old raised her and trained her... she was straight as a string until she hit around 3.5 yrs old... she also was a rather late starter... 17months old.. I had to single her out to get her to tree... She was an unbelievable lay up dog.... I witnessed her tree coons that other dogs run past... and they would come back to check her and have no idea what she was doing....

I started back to college when she turned 3 and by the time I got back around to hunting her she had blown a gasket she would tree every grinner she come across... and not 50 yards away... Im talking a mile deep and blow up and tree one... that friend is the only reason she ever left my shade tree.... She will always be one of my all time favorites and one of the ladies that broke my heart... Trashy women can do that to a feller...

Joe, clay described her to a tee.i never had any trouble with off-game with her,I would say mike halbert helped clean her up.sometimes on a real warm track she would throw in a triple chop locate but mostly a few long dying bawls.in warmer temps she would lay on her belly a lot right under trees base.she was loud and was the best strike dog out of the truck I ever seen.the only thing I didn't like about her is sometimes she would leave timber and run a road.that wasn't good in my area but you would pull her off a tree.

Clay, I got your pm. I have some info for you.your welcome to call me and we can talk.4172603799

Henry puts another management area coon in the tree...

This is a pic from last night: Justin Armour and his pup, Pr' Cedar Creek Raging Havoc....

Mr. Henry showing him the ropes... Justin is going to be my apprentice this summer.. We are going to hunt the hair off this little dog when he gets a little more leg under him...

No bad habits here... I don't face bark, tree jack, run other dogs, or trash.. and I am (house broke)....

You better get your hunting boots on and get ole solo going cause when we get done with Havoc... You'll have to tighten your wood screws up.... He's gonna blow Solo's doors off... lol...

Clay, it's good to see you back in the game. Me and Randy working on some young dogs. He bred Boomer and Hassie and has a pair he kept. I have a redbone. They are 14 months old and doing pretty decent. We can't hardly get in the woods for working and then when we can it is raining. Keep in touch and good luck with your hounds. Some good looking hounds you got and this is a nice post as well.

Thanks, Buddy, and Josh...

Sometimes a hobby can have work involved, but it's all worth it when they start operating... and for the last two months Henry has been turning the CRANK!!!! Like I said not a big score but only two coons treed in a two hour hunt one track lasted over an hour and I drew some minus chasing points.... and I know better... PATIENCE has always been the key for me....

Thank ye

Steve I have a theory about hunting ugly dogs...

It's like having an ugly woman... no matter how good she is...
You dont want to take her to town and show her off...
