The late James McClary's old Runnin Gun dog. He was out of Runnin Bullet x Honeyrun Becky. Hound & owner were both top shelf, the old dog sure threw some nice offspring that have proven to be above average reproducers themselves.

Totally Agree

James was an old fashion coonhunter. He obviouslly kept them in the woods. I think he had a really nice hound that, not enough people didn't realize until it was too late. I considered James a friend.

Vic, I don't think people gives the old man, Bullet, enough credit. In a sence he changed the bluetick breed as we knew it. Heart, drive, desire, none overpowered him in the stud pen. Just look at every blue dog in the nation and I'll bet he was there somewhere in most pedigree's! Not saying the others didn't have good pedigree's but he just seems to be back there somewhere. Bullet11 will follow. I guarentee that he will impact the Bluetick world in a better way. Heart, desire, drive, speed, totally super intelegince.

My all time favorite,s, Smokey River Diamond Jim, Smokey River Rambler, Bullet, Bullet11, Smokey River Dancer, and of course, Smokey River Chief!!

HAMMER, HAMMER AND MORE HAMMER. You can't just say Hammer 1,2,or 3, they have all helped the breed all the way up to Hammer 26. I have a Hammer 26 female here and all I can say is wow what a nice young hound. She flat gets with it from truck to tree. The only fault in her is that she is deep and alone most of the time. She is deaf or very close to it, so she don't have big ears and never will pull. When she trees she is glued to the tree. Kinda hard to handle, but I deal with it.
