It was a bit cold last night! Hunted a bit. I got a young male here that's showing some real nice things that Mark Ranucci owns. I can't quite put a finger on a few things with him after 3 nites of hunting but he certainly looks to have the tools to make a real nice hound! Super nice tree dog that has shown the coon. Goes hunting like one should and mouth is better than average. Right now I wish I didn't have a plan set for this year because if I didn't, I would keep this one around for awhile. He's worthy of spending some one on one time with for sure! Well, time to go check on Alice and get kennels done up! Have a good day, Danny G.

This morning and my thoughts were right. She's has 11 beautiful pups and her and pups are all doing great. She's like a surgeon with a sharp knife when she's wheping a litter. For those of you that never has seen it in action, let me tell ya that a with a great scissor bite a good female will shear off that embiblical cord with great precision and neatness. I'm hoping when Alice II is bred she has these great whelping skills imbedded in her also. Means alot when the times comes. I've owned a few females that were just about worthless when it comes to whelping time! Well, it's time to get ready to head to the shop. Been a long two days but worth the effort. Now,it's a wait and see process till they get old enough to show them that great training and starting tool, the fishin net!! Time will tell!! If they show what her first litter did on the net at 9 weeks old, bingo, I may have hit the jackpot full of gold at the end of the rainbow I've been long searching for!! Thanks to all that have shown great interest in this cross and are wanting a pup. Doesn't look like there will be enough to go around at this time unless a few were to change thier minds. Alicee II will be next in line and I'll just say this,she's the right kind to own!! How many males and females, not sure. I don't like to bother them to much, just watch and make sure evreything is going well. Thanks again, Danny G.

And all others! Thanks for the well wishes. Just went out to check on Alice and her pups. So far,knock on wood,all are still doing well. I stopped at the vets and got another bottle of pet tabs plus so she and her pups have all the vitamins they need to do well. Not sure how many males or females yet. I'll check that in the morning when I go do the kennels. I continue to get pm's from guys on the board and all are interested in a female pup. Guys, I have a feeling from just keeping an eye on her as she was having them that most are going to be male pups. Hope I'm wrong because I was wanting to keep a female for myself also. I'm not sure where this litter of pups is going to lead me to on down the road but I have a great feeling about this cross. I'm looking to keep 5 or 6 around for myself to start later on as they get older. My Alice II female has a date at the spring SS, a good friend of mine that hunts walker's is going to haul her so I guess it's time to hit some local pkc hunts with her and get her $100 won. She will be the next to raise a litter of pups her at the kennel! I have some guys wanting to know about Mark's pup and how he is doing that are looking for a nice young hound. I need to get him out and get an overall view of him. I've only hunted him 4 nites since I got him here and ya can't judge a young one without giving him more hunt time. I have seen him look great and at times not so much but nites have been tough and the boars are layin down some rough tracks early in the evening. I think he has the tools!
Well, time to watch some tube for a bit and then get a good nites sleep! Thanks, Danny G.

7 males and 4 females so looks like thier's going to be some disappointment for those that are wanting a female pup. I'm keeping a female for myself and the other 3 have been spoken for, for sure. Dan Raiville gets one in the deal to get Alice back, Bodie and Voyd Cannon have a female coming for stud service of Joe and Ron Jackson the last of the four. Ron has been wanting a female out of Alice's next cross since the begining of getting her back. The choice is still his to take one or not! The males, I'm looking to keep at least 5 to mess with until they get older so 2 males will be forsale. I'll narrow down on the males after I have them running and treeing in the woods. They will be priced according to how they are doing at around 6 or 7 months old. First,she has to do good with them until they are weaned. Thanks again for all the interest in this cross. As far as Alice goes, I have some that are wanting to know if I'm going to sell her after the pups are weaned. As of now, she has a home here! One never knows. If I don't have time to hunt her, might let someone hunt her for me. Paul, the garage is a toasty 82 degrees on the furnace thermostat which puts the temp at 75 degrees in the whelping box 12 inches off the floor. Clinic told me to keep it there for an open room area until they are 5 to 7 days old. Lower it down to 70 Degrees from there. Pups seem to be quiet and warm! Seems like Alice is also fine with it but when I go out there, it feels like a heat wave when I enter the garage and the sweat starts rollin off my bald head quick!! Thanks, Danny G.

I do have one I'm bottle feeding some. He's the runt! Sparky sent me a text message and told me Trevor got another first place win on Ozzie last nite. That makes two 1st for him so he should be a nitech soon. He's a littermate to Alice II. Last hunt Oz was in he got treed with the only coon seen but 3 minutes after the 2 hours was up. Tough break! Had to be a tough nite with the snow we had on the ground this morning! That makes 2 of the 9 with wins on them. Thanks Trevor for giving him a chance in the hunts, Danny G.

Been bottle feeding him and today I took him out and let him nurse on his mom!! Boy it is amazing to watch thier reactions when the scent of mom get's back in thier nose! Exciting to see for me! That pup went to nursing and got his belly full and momma took it from there. He's back in the house for another day or two and then back out to his siblings! Who knows' maybe he's the one!!
