Amazing

Someone asks a simple question. What lines predominantly throw a certain trait, and it becomes a pi$$ing match over who has the most dominant, "TOP" line of blue dogs.

This was probably a post by someone looking to outcross, and use a line that also has the traits they "PREFER". Everybody has to outcross sometime. Should you just go straight to the flavor of the month dog that has done some winning, or do some homework, and find another linebred hound that has carried the traits you prefer for generations?!?!?!

If the bluetickers were pulling together there would be ONE BIG PILE, but the way we are doing it there are a bunch of small piles. The bluetickers ,as a whole, are breeding for what THEY want. The few that think they knowwhat they want, and don't have it, are blameing everyone else for their problem. If you don't have and can't find what you want then MAKE it. This could take some time but since no one has any thing good enough take the best you can find (using your defination of best) and start building from there, you should have plenty of time........Tim

This was the question asked, about 6 months ago I asked what dogs were throwing HOT nosed get treed radical tree dogs, several LINES named here were named in that post and pushed just the same,I think some people just tell everybody what they wanna hear just to toot there own horn, all I'm tryin to say is how can anybody claim they got the fastest track dogs 1 bark tree dogs? WHERE ARE THEY HIDING? I want 1 to I'm looking but I'm not seeing it,ya there's a couple blue lines thrown TREEDOGS but there lacking in tracking and have no winding ability, there's several lines throwing AWSOME track dogs but they never wanna get treed, than theres sime that are good track and tree dogs but only go hunting 1 outa 10 drops, for anybody that thinks they got the total package than they should be winning ALOT more than zone and breed hunts and if a line was throwing this than we'd have more than 0 wrldch in the breed, this is my opinion sorry if it vary's from some others but its just that, just like many of you have stated YOUR opinion.

My point proven AGAIN you think the breed is a **** pile. That means your **** is just a turd in the pile also since you say that to be anything nice they must win the WORLD. You better cull em and start over with a different breed cause last i knew **** piles dont turn into rose gardens no matter how much you feed and water them.

Hey man, you can take it up with GOD, if you don't do your work, it's still the same. There are people that I know or known that are super with pups starting. Then there are people that if you wanted your dog finished right then he's the one you would go to. Then, there are a precious few that just have the nak, they can do it all. It's with no doubt what you are breeding as much as it is the pups getting exposed, the right way. The olden ways of starting and hunting dogs of today are night and day differen't than they were 30-40 years ago. All of us are very fortunate to have blood close to us that we like, enjoy, and sometimes prefer! That don't make the next pup we get any better but it is nice reading anyway.

I know of bluetick dog awhile back who's offspring was winning pretty good and a lot when i first got into blueicks and very few people went to him. His line is still out there and his offspring and their offspring are still reproducing winners. Not starting argument but just saying. Good luck to all and whatever they hunt just win.

My Thoughts

There not worth much but the way I look at things is, if you have a pup with proven bloodlines, that doesn't mean a thing unless you work your pup the right way! Too many people will give up on some pups if there not treeing their own coon a 6 months old!.

The dog's of today are different than the real old blood in reality because of special breedings that sank that in allmost every litter. There are way too many 8-10 month olds on here for sale because the owner either doesn't have the time, or someone had dollar sighns and didn't know what the hell there doing and now, the pup is for sale, and will make a good one, as in ads, if given the chance. Folks, everyone has got good bloodlines. But those pups have to be given a fair shake or it doesn't matter what bloodline it comes from it's a shot in the dark.

I vote team mad dog

I have a 3 1/2 year old female that I bought from the mad dog team. She is a true natural. She will wind coons better than any dog I've owned. tight bawl on track and a short bawl on tree. I wouldn't want her any other way.

I've said it on several other post and I'm gonna say it on this one the Echo line has proven itself for many years to be DOMINANT and in my opinion is the best blue line going today they have the total BALANCE!

coonbone since you hunt in iowa if you go to comp hunts or even if you happen to go pleasure hunting with some guys just ask what their dogs go back to not gonna throw any names out to safe argument but if you ask enough you'll pick up on couple names being repeated quite a few times. You can even go to the historical top reproducers list and figure it out. But to each all their own as long as the breed as a whole moves forward will all be happy.

if ya wanna freeze some and send it we can breed one of her sisters tiny isnt old enough yet but is a nice one she has a lot of go in her and is loud and accurate
if hank turns out good ill ship ya some to make a half brother sister cross
nothing wrong with a little echo rambo X jet hammer cross !!!

you bet! I like how you think...I wish you had room for one of these pups Misty is about to have. i'm in love with the 1st litter! getting Misty from you is one of the best things I ever did. she is line breed hard jet v, probably more than any I have ever seen and crossing that with the dogs we have been raising that are lined up as a total outcross is awesome!
