Right i worked with a guy that made the same as me but didnt work as much as me! He got back like 3000 dollars more than he paid in in taxes! Hell dont raise taxes, do away with earned income!

Cost of school in Minnesota.
MN. Chancellor of State college and University. yearly salary $429,172
President of Mankato State yearly salary $304,514
President of St Cloud State Yearly Salary $303,263
These are just 3 and none of these even teach add their salaries to all the professors' salaries that run from $100,000 to over $200,000 a year and that is why it cost so much to go to school. Plus the fact most students go for 6 years. Just saying.

ok i have read this and some posts really piss me off and some have very good points. I am a father of three wonderful kids and a great wife that supported all the way through school. When I say supported she would give that needed nudge to get out the door to go to school. Which I did and I worked full time and carried a full load and I had student loans to help also. My tution was around 3200 a semster at Pitt State University here in KS. I earned my BSE and will finish my Masters in Ed. this spring. I will also say that I had help through the GI bill which I served this country well for 12 yrs. so that people could go to college any way they can. Many states National Gaurd Units will pay for your college if you go to school in state so if you want to gripe about the cost of college then join the military to help pay your way through school and get off your a$$e$ and do something about it.

I graduated from a local community college with a process operations degree, and decided not to go to a 4-year school. A University these days cost way to much money as someone posted some prices earlier an they are pretty accuarate. I know a bunch of people I went to high school with that graduated from major universitys an cant get a job. Almost all of them went back to a community college to earn a trade of some sort or a program. It has seemed like in my experiance most of those students chose a slow carrer path with not much demand because it would have been a gravy office job. You know the old saying their is too many cheifs and not enough Indians. Yall are right americans are getting too lazy an are waiting on a handouts. There is nothing wrong with a young person working with their hands thats how america was built. While I was in school taking 15 hours a week I done lawn care service and I also worked at a local feed store for 8.00/ hour about 35 hours a week loading feed sacks all day in the heat. Thats how I made my spending money an coon hunting fund money. My Parents helped out with school payments but it was pretty cheap compared to most about 1200 a semester with NO GRANTS.

I worked extreamly hard in school and work an im proud of where I am today. I was offered a Internship with Chevron oil Refinery as soon as I graduated college. When my Internship was over Shell oil offered me a job an now Im currently in operations at a shell refinery. The point of the story is make sure there is a demand in the field your going in, and you dont have to go to a major university to get a good job, there is no shame with working with your hand while going to school how else are you suppose to learn how to do anything in life. I have NEVER been the smartest in class, but HARD WORK an DEDICATION will get you where you want to be in life most of the time. If your waiting for a hand out now you will be waiting for a hand out the rest of your life cause it aint happening! I feel extreamly blessed although times got rough an hard it worked out for me and I HOPE things work for yall and your family members going trough school an looking for a job.

The 47% he is talking about is

my neighbors down the road.....there is a young uneducated boy/man who quit school in the 9th grade because he was smarter than the teacher. His daddy did the same thing and so did his daddy. they couldnt keep a job longer than a few months because the the boss was always an idiot. (go figure)
He is shacking up with a girl about his age around 25. she has 4 children by 4 different babies daddies and gets food stamps, free food for her kids even in the summer while school is out. Gets a free cell phone (anybody getting food stamps is getting this phone). She does not work and doesnt want to work. He works at some factory and they stay broke all the time. she is off the books and they sell some of the food stamps each month for drug money and they stay high all the time and he has had at least 2 dwi's.
He works long enough to get laid off because he is a slacker and then gets almost two years of unemployment.

this is not made up. I can take you around brokeback mississippi and show you a hundred cases just like this.

This is the dad gum problem,

Obama has made this a handout society taking food stamps from 17 million to 45 million in 3.5 years. They get free Cell phones!!!!!
WILL YOU PLEASSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSE EXPLAIN THAT TO ME???

We are 16 trillion in debt. this president has spent more money in 4 years than all 43 presidents before him combined.

Mitt is not talking about School folks, sick folks, or disabled folks.. He is talking about the lazy, good for nothing , sleep with anybody to get pregnant so they dont have to work women and lazy no count uneducated ignorant men who had rather pop precription pain killers and either steal for them or sell their food stamps for them.

We are going off a cliff and we cant even agree on it. the scriptures said we will exchange the truth for a lie.
You guys that believe Obama is doing a good job and are going to vote for him you have blood on your hands you are going to shoot a hole in your own boat and we are going to drown because of your ignorance and stupidity.
God forgive us!!!!!

not sure where Hurley is, but I have

family in tupelo and I have cousins that are these people and I know their neighbors who are those people.
This is the stark truth that nobody wants to admit.
The gig is up. the curtain is being pulled back on the wizard of Oz.
Obama was the least presidental ready president we have ever had.

He openly admits he is a socialist and wants to take from those that have worked for their money and give it to my neighbors down the road so they can stay stoned out of their minds.

If you believe in Obama and what he is doing, then take about 40 percent of your bring home pay and go down your road and hand it out to everybody living in a trailor with at least 3 vehicles up on blocks with three snot nosed kids in diapers running around the yard holding on to a pitbull with the mange.
This is not a joke. This is what I see on every road I drive on in my county.
You want me to post a pic of the truth for you to see.
This is the most God awful president we have ever had or ever will have.

You mark this down...if Obama gets back in, we will be Judged by God and we will Reap the votes YOU folk gave to get him in.
Israel is going to bomb Iran and you will not recognize what you see in right here in this USA and you will not be able to get your vote back. I didnt know wont cut it.

Some around here got lay off. Then they draw for 99 weeks. Work other places for cash and never pay a dime. Make more than I do. Ain't gonna hunt a job as long as they can draw. Atleast with a flat tax. They'd be having to pay. I know nothing about food stamps. I guess they ain't any taxes on food bought with em?????

Oh my gosh.........I live in WV and this sounds like my neighbors too. They are everywhere. It ticks me off to no end as well. I know some people who their baby daddy works (a good job) they won't get married because she would loose her WIC, Food Stamps, free medical care, and what ever else they get. But, yet the dad racks in about $6-700.00 per week, and has good insurance. But, if they marry it will all change. Go figure.
I work in health care, and believe me- you wouldn't believe the people who think I owe them something. They get a free medical card every month. But, do they bring it with them to see the dr? NO.. when you ask why? Their reply is " i don't know where it is, or the baby had it and chewed it up." or I didn't know I needed it. I am really sick and need to be seen!'

I have actually replied to a couple people. "Do ya think if I went to the grocery store without my check book and told them I was really hungry my groceries would be free?

We have what we call sliding fee- it helps those who work without insurance at a low cost office visit. So when I ask the patient- Do you work? and they respond "NO" I simply say " how do you eat, pay your bills?

RIDICULOUS!!!!!! GET OFF YOUR DEAD HINDENDS AND WORK!!!!! WORK NEVER KILLED ANYONE!!!!!!!

The thing that bothers me (well one of the things lol) is that I believe that we need food stamps and some other forms of government assistance. However they are being so abused and like everything else one bad apple spoils the bunch. I've heard it said many times that welfare is suppose to be a hand up not a hand out. If people don't want to better themselves and put there hands out instead of putting them to work then why should us people that are putting in long hours at work, taking care of families and trying to squeeze in some hunting pay the bill? My sister in law lost her job a couple months ago and is on unemployment (that's another topic) and has found a part time job. The job doesn't pay quite as much as her old one but she was there for quite a few years so you have to start on the bottom and work up. The place that she is working is short handed and asked her to work some more hours for awhile to help them stay caught up and she doesn't want to because it will screw up her unemployment! What a joke! But yet they complain about money being tight. My dad always told me you are either part of the problem or part of the solution you can't be on both sides of the fence.

Lets sum it up this way......

Ask anyone who is on the government tit who they will vote for and their answer will be Obama. Left wing liberals not on the government tit will vote for him too. This is why Romney will never get elected!

People were complaining the cost of higher education. I posted one of the reasons that higher education was so high and if you can't see that that's your problem. If you bothered to read my post I never said they shouldn't get paid that much, I just gave what they made. There are 31 institutions of higher ed. in MN and each one has a president you don't think this raises the cost of education? By the way the Gov. of MN makes $120,000 a year but I don't think he's worth it. NOW YOU TELL ME WHERE I SAID THEY SHOULDN'T GET THAT MUCH IN MY ORIGINAL POST.

You ask what's the difference? The difference is if you don't have a car you don't have to buy car insurance that's what. The difference is you make the choice to buy and drive a car on roads paid for by the public tax dollars.

If you buy a car and only drive it on your own property you don't have to buy insurance either.

Having to buy insurance (which is a joke because the "penalty" is less than actually paying for insurance which means YOUR health insurance company is going to go broke and YOU will have to go on gubment insurance me too, we all will) just because you are alive is way different than having to buy car insurance to drive on public roads made by tax dollars.

As for who the hypocritts are, they are the liberals that always want to spend other peoples money but take all the tax deductions they are legally allowed and try to get out of paying their taxes. They are OK with raising everyone elses taxes. Nobody makes you take those deductions. You don't have to deduct your mortgage, kids etc. If you want higher taxes then pay em and leave the rest of us alone.

Everyone that don't want higher taxes and believes in doing away with waste and abuse in the gubmetn sytems are not being hypocritts when they take tax deductions because they believe they pay to much already and they are just keeping more of their own money.

I notice Obama took all his tax deductions. He didn't voluntarily pay one thin dime extra. He's the hypocritt.

If you buy a car and only drive it on your own property you don't have to buy insurance either.

And more importantly, one wrong move or inattentiveness can seriously injure or kill someone else. That to me is the biggest difference in auto insurance and health insurance.

Now if we could just get those people that don't have health insurance to stay on their own land and get treated, we would all be good.....lol
