I have a skunk river bred stud that has the Rakins blue lead dog in his fifth sixth and seventh generations , I'll say one thing seeing pics of the rankins blue lead dogs I now know who my stud looks like. My stud dog I named blue maple's southern lead he is now a show champion. I named my dog the day i bought him with out seeing who was in the seven generation pedigree. Now i am glad i did i read an old ad that is posted on here on how rankins blue lead hunted. There explains why my Lead dog has the big clear bawl mouth and the every breath clear loud steady chop. it is unreal how much my lead dog looks like the rankins blue lead but my lead dog is just a little darker.

I've been looking through some old photo's and found some of Lead and my Horn male off of Lead and Satin.
This is Troy Rankin , Bob Wheat and Rankin's Blue Lead

Myself and Ch. Lost Creek Blue Horn. He was one of the best dogs I've ever hunted with.
