Mr James did you own big slough Ed. I hunted with him when joe forscee owned him. hunting with a pup out of him now. super nice black dog if i say so myself being a walker or cur guy.

My gyp was taken out of the al zone Friday night by a snake that's fang mark were nearly an inch wide. But I have hunted her hard all summer. These guys are blowing the most smoke I've ever seen! The chance is there to get bitten but not likely! Good luck to everyone!

Snakes

iv hunted in the swamps all my life , and iv never had a hound bitten by a snake , dont mean it hasent happend to other just hasent happend to me or my hounds , i was raise in North west Fla, and their is penty of water around here for snakes and Gators . A hound getting eaten by a gator is very rare also but it does happen....
