Not being smart but, what do you call up North? I live in the central area of Minnesota little to the northern half of the state and we hunt some tamarack swamps and we have many tracks, especially during rut, that will cover, with the zigs and zags around a mile. We don't hunt the swamps all the time so we do have areas where the race is shorter. North Dakota will give you some good races too. Had a race last week from where dog struck to tree with coon 852 yds on garmin. I have hunted some spots where you can tree 4 or 5 coon in a 80 acre woods though. They are far and few between though.
I was a spectator last summer where 2 dogs treed 9 trees in 2 hrs and never got over 100yds. from us at any time. Only seen 1 coon and 8 circle trees. I wasn't judging, one was the judges dog, and as a spectator could only shake my head.
