Here are the ingredients for catfish feed. Are you sure you want to feed something to your dogs that you have to go to the 4th ingredient to find any type of meat???

***FYI*** and to everyone else out there in the Coon Dog world, Protein content has **NOTHING** to do with making a dog hotter in the summer, winter, spring, fall.....That is a MYTH with scientific information and facts and studies to prove this.

I feed Diamond Extreme Athlete.

I have Feed

Hi Tek best food I ever feed they no longer have a dealer around me.

Diamond Extreme Athlete was ok but not what I was thinking it would be.

Purina Hi Pro and Dog Chow both where junk.

Sportmix 26/18 is not bad for the money.

Victor best dog food I can get in my area under $40 a bag.

I was feeding Diamond EA, kept the dogs looking great but a few of the dogs always seemed to have loose stools from it. The cheapest you can get it around here was 38.50 for a 40# bag so I switched to Black Gold in the black bag to see the difference. Few things that I've noticed are seems to keep a shinier coat on the dogs. Also all the dogs have firm stools now and seem to digest it better. Also Black Gold comes in the 50 pound bag and its about 7 dollars cheaper than EA. Not to mention Black Gold supports our sport. I think I will be with Black Gold for a while now.

Kirkland Signature Nature's Domain from Costco is what I feed for dry dog food. It's to be a good quality food, at a good price. The farm dogs and hounds do well on it. The bulk of the hounds meals are either frozen, raw chicken carcasses or frozen, raw bricks of ground chicken/horse/fish. I add the dry food to give a balance of nutrients that doesn't come from just meat and bone.

Pro Plan 30/20 during season, Pro Plan lamb and rice 26/16 off season. I only have three dogs, less clean up, dogs look and hunt better.
