RG6 or RG8?

Steve,
I couldn't find any RG8 in town so I made a couple with RG6, I just couldn't stand waiting. Do you know the difference in the shielding wire and why you recommended the 8? Thanks again for sharing all this info, good stuff. Casey

Great information. I made a couple of these and have tried them out a time or two. They are a very big improvement over the stock antenna. Thanks for posting.

I TRIMED A TUFF SKIN ANNT. FROM 20 1/4 TO 18 3/4 AND TESTED IT AGAINST A UNTRIMMED TUFF SKIN AND FOUND NO DIFFERANCE IN RANGE WHAT SO EVER....??

How do you find the freq of a dc-40 I want to try and build a couple long range antennas for my two collars can any body tell me the length and what material that I need to buy

Used mine a couple times since i bought it. can anyone suggest an antennea for the mountains. i live in east tn. Have NOT had any problems. dogs just havent got out of pocket in a couple times out.
