Tebow played a good game.

For the life of me I dont know why defensive coordinators dont try to overload the left side and make him go right. He completed one pass to the right side of the field.

Congrats Tebow on a nice win! Great work.

Now, who here can say Pitsburg respected Tebows ability to throw the ball?

Crow....

Now thats a joke... I give credit where credit is due. Teblow played decent took care of the ball, extended some plays with his feet, and threw a couple of passes that were really on the mark. Now the negative, 10-21 thats less than 50 percent. If your dog treed coon at a rate of 50 percent I would hope you would cull it.

FACT:

Poor Coaching from D-Coordinator - No safety help over the top killed them. Tim Tebow had three throws of more than 50 yards. In the last 10 seasons, the Steelers had never allowed more than two passes of 50-plus yards in any game. Five of Tim Tebow's 21 pass attempts resulted in gains of 30 or more yards (23.8 percent). Entering Sunday the Broncos had just 11 plays of that length on 271 attempts with Tebow at quarterback (4.1 percent). All five passes were thrown to targets 15 or more yards from the line of scrimmage Sunday.

Injuries on Defense:
Ryan Clark the safety who should have been in the game. Season Stats 100 tackles, 1 interception, 18 passed defended. Wonder if he might have helped defend the long ball.

Casey Hampton the nose tackle who could have helped with run stop and pressure on Tebow. Five Games stats / all he played due to injury 31 Tackles

Brett Keisel the defensive end who could have put some pressure on Teblow Season Stats 48 tackles, 2 forced fumbles, 3 sacks.

Three starting defenders out lets do the math shall we 11 defensive starters minus 3 equals 8. The defense was at 73 percent-ish.

Yards after catch over 150 of Teblows 316 came on run after the catch. Id say lees about Tebow and more about how hard the recievers played.

Finally lets not forget Ken Stabler, Jeff Hostetler, and Trent Dilfer won a super bowl, thats Super Bowls people and those are not highly talented Quarterbacks. Teblow played well they executed their game plan, and they beat a bad defensive scheme and a banged up Steelers Team. Lets see how well Teblow does in his rematch with a health team in the Patriots.....

TJ Yates won a playoff game this weekend, does that mean we crown him as making it as a NFL qb?

tebow played a good half of football hitting the big play. there was no statement drive in the 2nd half or in ot. he completed a 17 yard pass and thomas took it to the house from there, so hard to say what tebow would have done on he drive with game on the line.

the fact remains, heading into the game denver went 19 straight drives without a td and only scored 3 2nd half points in this game.

the jury is still out wether tebow is going to make it as a successful nfl qb and i still think its not going to work out in denver.

He didn't do too bad against the steelers last night. That last throw in overtime sure impressed me. That's a lot of pressure on a green horn QB.

50% accurate?

uh.... yes there guys on here that think 50% is good!LOL

another way to look at it;
the steelers lost to denver's #3 qb.!!l
bash{cull} on Rothlisberger;
gotten fat, slow, and can't run.threw how many actual pics?reminded me of jim plunket when he stayed too long.....

tebow might not ever be a joe montanna or tom brady, but i'm betting he'll mature into a above average qb.

I think denver will beat the patriots next week. As far as ben goes not being able to run, or move in the pocket, I think he has a sprained ankle, he was hurt..But Im not sure why everyone hates tebow. He was 10-21 316 yrds passing 2 tds 0 int, and moved his team on to the next round. All of you arm chair quarter backs kill me. Like him or not Tebow is not just a QB, he is a football player.

Tebow is a defensive coordinator's worst nightmare. A running QB that you cannot beat on and knock out of the game. He hits all these long balls because they have to load up the box to stop the run game, or keep in a "spy" or an extra pass rusher to limit running alleys when he gets flushed out on passing downs. One NFL caliber DB or small/fast LB can cover a LOT of ground in pass coverage. One less guy in coverage means a lot more green grass to get receivers open in. As long as he can take the hits, not turn the ball over too often, and has a decent defense he will be effective more times than not.

(he will also help a defense to look good by controlling the clock and not turning the ball over---a lot of people that downplay Tebow and give all the credit to the defense tend to forget this. It is easy to play defense standing on the sideline while your O holds onto the ball LOL. It is a combination of both D and O and special teams.)

Chuck I was thinking the same thing.............He may not be typical QB and has not even reached his potential, but here is a player who was drafted in the 1st Round of the NFL Draft -- only has started 12 games (not even a full NFL season worth of games under his belt yet), advancing to the next round of the Post Season.

16 games in an NFL season and Tebow has started 12 games over the last 2 seasons. Anybody ever compare first year stats to another Denver QB (Elway)? -- Take a peak at them.

While 24 QB's are done for the season, Tebow is one of 8 remaing QB's still playing football.

For a guy before this season had only 3 career starts, to be given the start this season with the team record of 1–4 and guiding them to the second round of the playff isn't too bad.

My football knowledge isn't the best, so perhaps someone can post the last time a rookie QB guided their team to the Super Bowl -- I can't remember the last time a rookie QB that even guided their team deep into the playoffs their rookie year.

LOL, Tebow has 12 started games and gets picked apart by the critics every game...........Rookie Cam Newton put up some pretty impressived stat #'s this season, even record breaking stat #'s this rookie season.

Who is in the second round of the playoffs and who didn't even make the playoffs.

HMM..........kinda makes me think of pedigree papers and coondogs...........papers don't tree coons like record breaking impressive stat #'s do not advance to the playoffs.

Running QBs will NEVER be on the best teams amongst the NFL. Never ever.

Who is the best? Teams with a real QB that can actually throw the ball. You know whjat I'm saying right? the Tebows, Terrell Prors, Vince Youngs, Jason Cambells, Josh Freemans, Cam Newtons WILL NEVER get the job done at a high leval. Running QBs just don't compete with the best. they can beat some of the average NFL teams but never go all the way.

The Tom Bradys, Drew Brees, and Aaron Rodgers of the NFL today and in years past were pure throwers. You win passing in the NFL not with running QBs that complete 50-60% of their passes.

Tebow has heart and the willingness to compete with the best. He gives effort he's no passer and never will be. I would love to see him as a TE.

You don't give credit where credit is due..... you're just like all the other haters, no matter what he does, no matter how well he plays, no matter how many games he wins, YOU will find fault and make excuses.. If Denver wins, Tebow had nothing to do with it. If Denver looses, it's because of Tebow...

Tebow played a great game. Only time will tell if he is going to be a great QB.....

He hasn't even played a full season as a starter yet and you "experts" on here are judging Tebow as if this was his 3rd - 4th year.... How many 1st year QBs get judged the way Tebow does? None!!!!!! The norm is "this is Johnny's 1st season as a starter, give him time, see where he is in a couple seasons".

So what if he only had 21 attempts, what does that prove???? People act like if a QB doesn't have 40 to 45 attempts, it's awlful and he's no good. If he'd went 21 - 40, would that have been any better????

Don't forget, Terry Bradshaw's 1st season his average was 35% and that was the average for the whole season.

If I`m not mistaken, Tebow had some pretty good success in the best conference in college football! I would also venture to say, his high school team was really good as well. With some more time under his belt in the NFL, and the right offensive coordinator, he`ll be successful in that league as well! But even if he never wins another NFL game, I couldn`t think of a better role model for any youngster to look up to. Wheather you like it or not, kids have role models!

they only become less effective when they stop trying to do what makes them effective ie---run the ball and throw to be the "dual threat". they all try and conform to the NFL typical mold and fail OR they get beat up and can no longer be effective with their feet. If a guy comes along that can do both and doesn't try to become something that he isn't AND can withstand the punishment, he will be successful. Is Tebow that guy? Time will tell.

If Tebow can throw for 175-200 yards a game (or more) with one or two TDs and run for another 50-75 (or more) yards and another score....and he can do this without turning the ball over, they will win a TON of ballgames.
