If you teach a dog to hunt alone , how do you know how good of dog you really have?
That's not competition hunting. He's hunting by himself.


If your dog goes one way and trees a coon , and the other dog goes the opposite way and trees a coon. How do you know which dog is a faster track dog? Quicker locator? Whether either is mean or not?

Well they post dogs barred, treeing contest, bench shows, water races. Why not? Certainly HTX is harder and says more than treeing contests.

Question is to me, you cut your dog loose with an armadiilo chaser and a deer chaser and a decent coondog. Armidilo strike first in twenty feet. How long does that take to check? Then deerboy bounces one out three hundred yards , how long to check that? one Minute? Consider this; all the while, the judge is NOT a Jester, sent by the Queen, he is looking for an addition to the Queens Court of dogs. He has already seen two dogs not being honored. Now explain that'n there. Judges?? or Jesters following rules, That Is the Question???????? I'm just playing Shakespere, but I expect a deciferable answer or risk placing yourself in the Jester collumn.

L.Lyle you round up every deer running,diller chasing,fox and yote running,bobcat treeing hound you can find in those parts. I'll come show you what ones pose to do. Easier to just show some folks Sheep can come to. Let's wait till cool weather though.

Just looked on the Home Page for HTX Hunts. None scheduled for Florida or South Carolina. One Scheduled for Georgia on 9-10-11. Quite a few for North Carolina, West Virginia and Tennessee.

Actually its probably yalls dogs that ain't treeing with mine. How am I supposed to know? Are yall saying if we cut em. Yalls are always gonna be with somethin?? What a joke. Only time I hear check dogs mentioned around north ga is at the BEAGLE CLUB.
