...I haven't fooled with my pup out of Bud and Butter Cup much. He hasn't shown much interest in the couple coon I've shown him but Allen and Tim's pups, (Buzz's litter mates) have. I recall another young all blue male that was kinda' slow in takin' off a few years back.
...For those who are interested in getting a pup out of a coon dog, you should look no farther than Ringo. I have 1st hand experience with this fine young hound along with a few well know dogs in his pedigree. Mike and I went hunting this past winter and I saw again what Ringo was made of. With our toe's nearly frost bit, Ringo found a couple coon daring to bear the cold and search for food. Ringo is a strait up, loud, absolutely pull pressure dog tree dog that will do what it takes to search out and tree a coon in any condition, something that he gets honestly. I owned Ringo's Sire, Dam, and Grand Dam, I can promise you that what I see in Ringo is what I loved in the one's before him.
...Far as the Ringo X Jenny cross, this is a double up on Bud and my old Nt Ch Moore's Mountain State Bonnie female. Bonnie was as good as I have ever followed. Oh, by the way, I got to see Jenny in action the same night with Ringo and she treed a coon in stile as well.
...Ringo's mother, Ch Nt Ch Moore's Mountain Stater Bonnie II, (AKA Cassie) is in season right now but I'm not sure I will be able to get her bred, she is 9 1/2 now and her heat cycles are not as strong. I would love to get one more litter out of her but time is getting short. We'll see. I am going to try to cross her back into some of the same stuff that she is made of.
