Everybody makes mistakes boy's. Just so happens that Jpatt made a few all at once.I have been hunting for thirty plus years and I still make mistakes. The thing is he done what everyone of us older hunters has done, and got caught or in his case told on his self. You can't bash the young man for making mistakes .Life is about making mistakes and learning from them.I believe he more than likely learned a valuable lesson. It is all a learning game and knowledge is wisedome.YOU NEED TO GO BACK AND GET THE GUN.

...hunted with a friend of mine up in WVA last summer (actually, it was on the other side of the river north of Proctorville, Ohio)...........dogs got off his property cold trailin' and treed behind this man's house.............at 1am.......I asked him what we were gonna do .... he said "up here, you knock on the door and ask permission rather than get shot at"...........we did, and the guy could not have been any nicer.........asked if we wanted a cold drink!!....lol

That is generally the way it happens. It is alot easier to ask permission then forgiveness. Forgiveness often times comes with a cussing and a ticket. Permission often comes with an open invite back.
