question for dog ration experts. Who cares about CP Crude Protein? Why don't they list DP Digestible Protein and TDN Total Digestible Nutrients like other animal feeds? The CP doesn't realy tell jack and neither does the source unless you just want to "feel good" about animal protein how about Urea?, 45% N, don't take much to boost CP with that does it? And don't get me started on the Kjindal Furnace proceedure.

Dogs , coons and pigs are simple stomacked animals and all are omnivoruos. We want to think dogs are carnivorous so we have never seen 'Simmon seeds in dog poop. Yes, and when you see a dog eating grass something is lacking in their diet. not worming themselves. We know coons eat about whatever they can get. We want to think pigs are herbivorous but that when we dove hunt in a hogged down cornfield we know we better have a fast dog to beat the pigs to the doves. 20 lb Pigs eat the doves because they smell the feathers which are high in protein and the meat part of the dove is just extra, Pigs are protein starved in cornfields but not in soybean fields. Wonder why? Cause beans have 4 time the protein content of corn. Animal protein is good nothing wrong with it. I would prefer to get mine that way than the Veggies ( mostly animal rights nuts) that get theirs from soy products. So, dove feathers are are animal based protein but what is the DP Digestible Protein of them versus the dove breast? Nutrition is kind of like a religion, some people get off on tangents and strongly believe whatever they happen to believe at that time in life's journey. Amen .

A friend of mine that hunts runnin walkers feeds diamond premium.
he decided to try EA to prep for a hunt he said his acted like he gave them speed(the drug) every time he went out back said it looked like he
Had a yard full of kangaroos. Can u imagine 23 dogs bouncing like that.
He did place I think 2nd an 4th with the two dogs he entered but has went back to premium said they were to hyper

Endurance, stemina, proper weight, muscle tone is what you should get from a feed like EA. Not anything hyper or hyper acting. I never saw anything like that when I fed it. There's nothing in the ingredients to make a hyper dog.
Nice dog jason, hes in good shape.

It's $32 to $34 for me...I have 3 places very close that carry it, so I don't mind the couple extra bucks for the convenience. BUT, I am always on the look out for a better deal on it.

I'm not bashing it cause I have never tried it I was using the hi-energy then atwoods started stocking pro-plan so I tried it my dogs look better nice shiny soft coat an a tad bit more get gone speed the hi-en was doin great just don't seem to need as much of it. I would think that not all dogs would react the same on same diet different bodies = different needs

I fed Pro Plan before and the dogs did great on it also..No complaints there...
The bags just kept getting smaller and the price kept getting higher. It just priced itself right out of my wallet. That was my main reason for the switch. The listed ingredients and affordability was what made my mind up on the switch to "Naturals" Extreme Athlete. I am pleased.

Thank you so much Seeker. I've definitely put a lot of work into them since the start of this year, and I'm proud of the results so far. You're right, good results don't come just from the feed though...you've got to condition, worm, supplement when necessary. It's a whole package deal.

To be fair, here's a dog that I've had on Tractor Supply Brand 4Health Performance for awhile, along with satin balls or actual boiled chicken and rice. He isn't fat a bit, but is RIPPED with very little formal conditioning. I personally think he looks as good as the ones on EA, but some of the others didn't get quite the results from it. If I have to buy more than one brand of feed to keep dogs looking right, I'll do it...one feed rarely works best for them all.

This was our 23rd straight night of at least 2 drops each night. She was being fed 2.5 cups/day of Diamond EA She hunted the same wired up, get gone way whether it was her 1st drop or her 5th.
