Cory mailes bob dog was one the best I have hunted with. If I were to quit hunting walkers he would be the first man I would go to.

I got a blue dog that likes to get his ears scratched.....and I'd have to say he's my favorite lol

Saw two blueticks at the classic this weekend neither one impressed me one stayed outta trouble covered one tree then stayed with the cast the rest of the night and won his cast lol The next babbled for first strike every time and covered a english all night and won his cast

I love Blue dogs but what I saw in these two casts weren't great even though a win is a win and that's what counts......

Oh, ok then. I guess I just didn't see it as blueticks in general when you specifically called this dog out by name, in a derogatory manner, on two separate post. Maybe I just read too much into it.

NT.CH GRCH Swampland Blue Horn, NTCH GRCH Doan Creek Blue Carl. Horn introduced me to top shelf dogs, and Carl was my first that had every thing I wanted, still trying to replace these two twenty years later.

if you are refering to me!! if you call leaving your track to come cover my dog who is 200 yards away halfbutt treeing to the extent that i wouldn't put her on the paper then i lost it. that gets back to the first thing i said i never saw a bluedog that i wanted to own.

i'm definatly not a sore loser my dog didn't look like no world beater that night either.

Adkins' Blue Candy, she was the dam of Gerald Hackworth's GrNtCh Blue Jammer 2 dog and is the dog that is most responsible for getting me hooked on coon hunting.

Slugger has been doing well here for me, but Im just pleasure hunting him.
He has been treeing me some Coons though, and he handles the best.

i hunted with several good blue dogs and the best was a female we traded for in 1977 that didnt have any papers ,she died of old age at my house.

if another dog started running a deer before she found a coon track to run,she would check the dog and if it was a deer track ,she would beat it back to your side and sit there and cock her head and listen to the race,,lol,we didnt have a shocker then but she knew running a deer was going to get a stomping to who ever did it.

another night she got on a old coon that kept jumping out when i got close to the tree, she treed it in a sapling about 8 feet off the ground,i got within 100 feet of where she was treed and she shut up,i turned the light out and was following a trail to the area she was at and heard something on the trail if front of me and turned the light on and it was her,,she did the lassie thing coming toward me and turning around and going away like she wanted me to follow her ,so i did with the light down on low,in a little ways she made a left turn off the trail about 5 feet and stood on the tree and just looked at me like here it is boss not barking just looking at the coon and then me,,lol ,it was an old female about 18lbs ,no fur undercoat, just all hair, wished i hadnt shot it after seeing how old it was but the dog did more than her job and got her reward..

i havent seen any coondogs of any breed since then, that was as smart as she was but have been hunting with a lot of good coondogs that could tree a coon..blueticks too.
most knowned bluetick i hunted with was sparetime spanky and the night i was along on that hunt,he put a spanking on the other dogs and they were top dogs also..he would drop out of a race and tree a layup and be scored and turned back on the running track and run the track and catch up with the other dogs and still get 1st or second tree,,,,that was the night i hunted with him ,have heard other people say he wasnt as good the night they hunted with him but that was the summer before he won the world hunt and jerry was hunting the hair off him, which might have been the reason he look so good that night..

there was another blue dog named ben not far from me that was all coondog, turned him loose and he was going to be under a coon the next time you saw him...
