Don, you have some nice hounds I'm sure, but as a new guy myself I don't know how to take your post. For one I don't think this breeding thing is over the English guys heads, the problem is (if there is one) some people are strain blind.
I'm sure the Briar Creek and Wilcox lines are of exception quality, heck three of the dogs I have contain Wilcox. BUT there ARE other quality lines out there that people are breeding and huntin' with everynight. A few examples: Oney, JR, Hardtime (stuff to Speck and stuff direcly to Rocky), Tapp, Lumis/Sargent Blue, Neuse River, the Oakwood stuff is winning yet, and I'm sure I left some off, the outcrosses that you need/want or out there they just might not be All-Grand.
I find pups on here all the time that I'd love to make room for, I currently have three young females that I'm hopin' impact the breed in years to come (LOL don't we all). But seriously they ain't all grand, and will hopefully be bred to dogs that can keep what they have and hopefully inject anything that might be needed, if that dog happens to be All-Grand great, but if he is just PR that'll be fine also.
That's just my opinion, take it for what it's worth, and I hope everything works out for ya in the dog business.
