It is true, you have to try and do whats best for the cast and do it the same each time. We have plenty of places for dogs to get out of hearing here also even though it is fairly flat for the most part. I still am not going to walk 20 min and then start the 8 even if I know the dog ent over that way. We will walk the 8 and see what happens from there. I mean that would be almost 30 min for a dog on the leash. That's 1/4 of the hunt. How can that be fair at all? I'm not argueing, just stating my opinion. I have had dogs of mine get gone and you know they are treed and nothing you can do but take your minus and go get them. Soon as you call time turn on the tracker and beep beep he's treed way over there. Get there got the meat say shoot that sucks and go back to the cast.
