Have had both systems, dont have the beep beep anymore. The only issue I have had with the garmin is hard to charge the collars, and thats no big deal.

I guess my above statement left me open for cheap shots about the quality of my dogs?? so Ill say it like this, I like to see how close my grandnite PKC silver champion female is to the road when Im 500 miles from home at a big hunt and im being guided around by a complete stranger.. I suppose if your hunting ol rover behind your house then you dont need to upgrade..and with ol beep beep you can keep making believe ol rovers out there tearing it up..

I had a garmin, I LOVED it. It had some issues though (got it used), and I got to where I didnt trust it as much as I did my "BEEP BEEP" so I went back to a Tracker Maxima. I will eventually get another Garmin though I believe.

I have both a Garmin and a Wildlife set up with a small Quick Track antennae. The Garmin is handy but not half as reliable as the Wildlife. If you use the old radio systems enough you can tell fairly well how far away your dog is. Having used both if I could only have one or the other I'd keep my Wildlife system. My hunting equipment needs to be simple and durable working everytime I need it. Garmins show a lot of helpful info but still have a ways to go.

I have had one for three years. I still have the dc20 collars and have no trouble with them, but from what I have seen you either get a good one or junk. I have a friend and he has sent his in numerous times and he keeps having range problems. I’ll personally never plan on going back to a telemetry system but If I had the problems my friend has then I probably would. They have a long way to go on reliability.
