Where do you get all this info about over fishing their waters and such? You got any links to the info you've described? Or are we just supposed to take your word for it?
I can understand defending your own water/land , but to go several hundred miles out of your way to do harm to others ? That's not defending , that's attacking. And should be handled accordingly.

The second cause of piracy has to do with fishing, the mainstay of Somalia's coastal inhabitants. Chaotic Somalia has been unable since 1991 to monitor or police its extensive coastal waters. AGAIN- I AM NOT TAKING THE SIDE OF PIRATES- I AM ONLY POINTING OUT THAT THIS PROBLEM IS A LITTLE MORE COMPLEX THAN OUR MEDIA IS POINTING OUT, AND THAT WE CANT SOLVE THE PROBLEM UNLESS THE SOLUTION TAKES INTO ACCOUNT THE ROOT CAUSES.
