pups

Pups are out of a grandaughter to Chief and sired by a Sebastien male. (Last pup Julius Sebastien had when he passed) Her Sire was a cold nosed track dog that was a riggin fool. Would rig coons with his head out of the box going down the interstate. He treed with a short bawl and wouldn't leave. 3 generations Sebastien bred with 100% Vaughn behind them. Sebastien's Blue Penny up close in 5th generation 5 times. Foundation Vaughn dogs in 6th.
This line of Sebastien dogs were great big game dogs and had a lot of grit. Most start at 5 months or so. Could also tend to be stubborn but once on line, .....Julius son and daughter still breed them here in the UP. Lately I believe they were breeding to Jets 6 and 7????

Sire is Double Chief and Double Springs Echo bred. Outstanding male that will never see a coon hunt. No big name title here. Bear hunted all his life and is the main rig dog for a friend of mine. Can outrig and out run most anything he's hunted with and a very good tree dog. Has treed many bear by himself. They don't come any better.

Both sire and dam have bawl mouths with a changeover and chop on the tree. Both have excellent conformation and markings. Bawl mouths I mean that sound gooood and just get ya cranking. When they explode off the rig box it is something to behold.
Another friend of mine has a littermate to the sire that is his main dog and the best one he said he's had in 30 years, also on bear. References if you'd like. Fellows name is Jerry Ellwanger Peshtigo, WI.

These pups will suit the hard to please.
Littermate to the my female I sold to a fellow up the road. Been cat hunting her last two winters and what a cat dog she is. He won't price her either.

Anything else, let me know. Neither walk on water, however both are far better than average and don't need a title to tell you. They'll show you. References if you want them.

On another note, congratulations to all the bluetick winners at Autumn Oaks and to Mark Ranucci for the Natl. GrNtCh.

Mr. Vaught....

What would you consider old Vaughn blood. What Vaughn blood would the Gascons have? I know some hounds around here that are crossed between Grant stock and Vaughn stock.

Gasgon's

Most seem to go back to O.O. Grant, Jocasee Valley, Lee Brothers. "Bluetick" Bill Harshman's Galoway strains..
