My daughter has been to Iraq three times. This so called piece of crap "reporter" spoke for the loud mouth minority once again. A reporter is supposed to be objective not subjective. Clearly evident by his actions (and any reporter I know) that he reports what he wants people to hear, not the facts. If the Iraqi people as a whole were not glad to be relieved of a reign of terror then their government, military and police would not have come together anywhere near this quickly. Is it perfect? Nowhere near, but, they are coming together as a people. My daughter says that the people are happy to be free and for the most part are glad we are there. That won't be reported because our filthy media does not want us to hear that. The media wanted Obama as President and we got it. Bottom line, the media spoke and some Americans thought it was funny. I'm willing to bet that most that thought it funny.....never represented our country or sacrificed a period of time for it. This has absolutely nothing to do with who voted for who. It has to do with "WHO" was representing "US" and how he was treated.

you know this shoe throwing nut case is one of the many that were dancing in the streets after 9-11.

just like 9-11, those shoes were thrown out of hatred for America, not just Bush. Go ahead and laugh, I wont be joining you.

I have yet to see anyone explain how a tax and spend, anti gun, anti American, Anti Capitalist, pro Socialist, terrorist supporting, racist is going to do the best for this country.

You need to seriously educate yourself and learn why this country was created and what it was founded upon.

RANDY

i took my time and read every post before stopping to write.. Randy, tell your daughter I said THANK YOU from my heart... it is those like her that continue to fight for the freedom i have and also those on here that can't truly see what freedom is all about.. freedom comes with a price.. there are so many on here that can't see past their own nose to realize that all this talk about change and saving this country is being done by those that ALMOST have everything and want the rest.. taking my guns, TAXATION WITHOUT REPRENSENTATION, that is not change.. that is the whole basis this country was founded on.. change?? a running mate that has been in washington for 30 years is change?? nothing but the same ole, same ole...

as for the shoe throwing deal.. i think it was Randy that said those that laugh are worse than the stuff he shovels off his kennel floor.. I AGREE!!! i work around those that voted for obama and everyday they are mad as hell because someone is saying "he is not really a citizan" or "he's not really african american"... let someone throw a shoe at him and some of you will be calling for the throwers head...

i hear all you thugs talk about how bad Bush is and how he has done this country so wrong.. you do realize for the past 4 years we have had a democratic house and senate don't you? you blame BUSH for the high gas prices but have you (lately) thanked him for the low gas prices??? IF HE IS THE ONE THAT CONTROLS GAS PRICES AND MADE THEM SO HIGH THEN HE IS THE SAME ONE THAT MADE THEM LOW... i would like to shake his hand and tell him thanks for making it where i can afford to drive again!!! i would also like to shake his hand and tell him thanks for NOT making it legal to kill my grandkids to do cell research..

i could go on and on, but as i sit here and read i realize why this country is headed down so fast.. for those of you that voted for the new guy, in 4 years when we find ourselves in a socialist society and you realilze you can't hunt, or fish, or have and enjoy the freedom's you now have please at least admit you wanted him and you got him... i hope i am the one saying i was wrong, which i will gladly do if i am.. if i am the one that is right,, none of it will matter!!!!!!

I don't really think any war has ever been started just because someone threw a shoe at someone...LOL I do think that if this reporter wanted to throw shoes, that GW should have been able to throw some back at him..Let Ol' GW take him out back for a real Texas style as* whippin..I would've liked to see that. We live in a great country where we are allowed to have these discussions...everyone just keep that in mind. Some don't have internet,tv,radio (unless it's government broadcast) freedom of speech...etc. We have all these freedoms due to our leaders..and that's everyone of them like em or not..And yes, thank you to all the brave men and women as well.

I don't understand why anyone would think it is funny that our President was almost hit in the head by a thrown shoe. That is a serious breach of security. I think there is a major loss of credibility here.

I also don't understand why some people can't understand why some Iraqi's hate George Bush. If Yasser Arafat was alive and visiting the United States would you understand why someone might throw a shoe at him?

No matter how much good the United States did for Iraqi people, the fact still remains that we caused allot of civilian casualties. So don’t be surprised that people that had to burry the charred corpse of their family members are not showing us the appreciation that we think we deserve.

This was George Bush’s war. He was backed so he did not have to reveal his secret source of Iraq’s Weapons of Mass Destruction. He was wrong. Now his administration is trying to sell us that we went into Iraq to free them. What a farce. If the roles were reversed some of the people that are the most offended on this thread would probably be throwing a shoe at someone.

To those that are about to call me anti American…..lada dada dada …….. I just want to emphasize that I do not agree with throwing anything at any public figure. I just understand why some people in Iraq hate George Bush. Think about it from their point of view. It is not that hard to understand.

Believe what you want, but the real reason we went to Iraq is because of terrorist. Bush clearly (after 9/11) stated and was backed by all but 1 in congress that he would go after all terrorist and those who supported them. No one had a problem with that then because emotions were high. Now, people have settled down and they want to blame the same war that they supported on Bush.

Here is the real deal..

Read it real slow so that you may understand...

During the first gulf war, Saddam was tried and convicted of for having WOMD by the UN. He had sanctions put on him that included unlimited access to his country to inspect the weapons sites, he had to destroy all WOMD and provide proof of all that were destroyed. If he complied with those things then he could retain his position as president.

He did not comply. He first, did not provide proof that the WOMD were destroyed so it was believed that they werent. Then he went a step further and kicked the UN weapons inspectors out.

He violated his probation and Bush went in and carried out the punishment that the UN didnt have the balls to carry out.

Bush is a hero to the majority of Iraq and yet our own people talk about him like a dog. If you dont like him then go live in the afghan mountains with the rest of the United States haters, because that is what those people are. When you talk bad about our president, then you are also speaking bad about our military and our country.

I am merely pointing out that I understand why some of these people hate us, especially President Bush. It is not that hard to understand.

Dale
It was never proven that Sadam had weapons of mass destruction that could be used against the United States. The UN weapons inspectors said there was NO EVIDENCE of weapons of mass destruction prior to our second war with Iraq.

Iraq was never implicated in 9/11 either. Al Qaeda was responsible and they were harbored in Afghanistan.

Wrong. George was a failure as a President and I can say that without any disrespect to this country. Have you noticed that he is allot more humble the last couple of years than he was in his first term? He sure has grown up. He would probably be a better President now if he had another term than he was during most of his two terms.

You have more in common with Al Qaeda than I do. Maybe you should go to Afghanistan were you can tell people what they can think and say. That doesn't work to well in this country you Anti American.

Kyle, you do realize you sound more ignorant than not don't you? What Redbones wrote was exactly correct..Saddam was to show proof, but when he bans the UN from doing inspections for several months and the cowards at the UN wouldn't enforce the terms of his agreement. President Bush went over the UN and enforced them himself, which in turn made him the scape goat for people like you to run your mouth. Do you really think Saddam was going to keep the UN out for that long and not intend to ship the WMD to another country in the region?? Come on, use your head I'm sure it's not so small to think Saddam was an innocent dictator. Why don't you go to Iraq and ask the families of the victims that Saddam tortured or used his WMD on and see if they have respect for our President. I get really sick of hearing people put our President down all the time, with everything he has had to deal with since being sworn in has done an amazing job. He is our President, which deserve our respect like him or not. Same goes for Obama and I didn't back Obama. If people like Kyle don't like the way the country is ran you can either (1) go get an education and become President or (2) get the hell out of mine and the rest of the patriotic Americans that do live here! Whichever you prefer, but I have my preference! When you talk down about our President and the war regardless if agree with things or not you are running down our Military men and women as well, and I will not sit back and listen to ignorant people like you do that! So please take option 1 or 2 above and please look hard at option number 2!!

Brandon

Yes. It is correct and very outdated. The inspectors did get in and they did not find anything. Bush said he had secret sources and went it alone. He did not find anything.

Please describe these weapons of mass destruction and how they were going to be used against the United States.

quote:

I have never defended Sadam. He was an evil dictator and he got what he had coming.

quote:
Why don't you go to Iraq and ask the families of the victims that Saddam tortured or used his WMD on and see if they have respect for our President.

I am sure they do. Why don't you go and ask the families of the innocent people that we mistakenly tortured thinking they were terrorists when in fact they were not. Do you think they respect us?

quote:
I get really sick of hearing people put our President down all the time, with everything he has had to deal with since being sworn in has done an amazing job.

That is a matter of opinion. I do not deny that he faced some big challenges however I think he has done a poor job. He is the worse President that I have ever voted for.

I do like him better now than I did when he acted so cocky. He started sounding much more humble and sincere a couple of years ago.

quote:

You are no more patriotic than I. Patriotism is not merely following blindly. If you do not like the way this Country works than you can go to afghanistan and become the dictator. Then you will be able to tell people what to say and think. You do not have that authority here.

quote:
When you talk down about our President and the war regardless if agree with things or not you are running down our Military men and women as well,

No. You are wrong. That is the deception that has been used by the current administration. To say someone is not supporting the troops because they disagree with the decisions of the executive branch is easily the most ignorant statement in this thread.

quote:
I will not sit back and listen to ignorant people like you do that! So please take option 1 or 2 above and please look hard at option number 2!!

Do you really think you are in any position to give me options? You think to highly of yourself. Do you realize that your My way or the hiway attitude goes against what this Country was founded on?
Kyle

I don't know where you get your facts, but Saddam only let the inspectors back in after some time had went by, provoking the UN knowing they wouldn't enforce the issue. There were and currently are terrorists operating in Iraq, so where do you think his WMD's went. Everyone except you knows he had them and used them on innocent people. I suppose Saddam grew a heart and just buried them in the desert..because we know he wouldn't give them to terrorists. And if we should ask the innocent people of Iraq about our troops killing civilians, maybe we should ask our fellow Americans about their loved ones killed on 9/11? Which many of those terrorists were from that region with ties to Saddam and Iraq as well As your favorite country of Afghanistan. No I do not think my way or the highway is what this country was founded on, but I also do not think people like you are what this country was founded on. You can quote my threads all day long, that's shows what that you can quote the truth ? I'm sure you and I are very different and would never agree on most things political. And yes it does hurt our troops when people like you stand in front of media, couthouse lawns...etc and protest the war. And I think it is very funny, you say I should go to Afgahnistan to be a dictator??I am one of the most patriotic people you will ever meet my big mouthed friend! Sounds to me like you would like to go to Afghanistan the way you talk about that country so much and we have been talking about Iraq. I'm sure I know this answer already, but have you ever served your country, or just your own needs? and you are correct, I don't have any authority here. That is one of the biggest disgraces of our country, that people with big mouths and little honor and courage are allowed to speak freely and push your ideas and opinions on anyone that doesn't agree with you...

I'm sure you and I are very different and would never agree on most things political. And yes it does hurt our troops when people like you stand in front of media, couthouse lawns...etc and protest the war.

What makes you think I would waste my time protesting the war? You have no idea what I am like.

why don't you go to bed before your mom catches you up this late on the computer..

You are very hostile. Your posts are littered with insults. If you were as respectful as you pretend you could make your point without putting those in. The insults really help define who you are.

The one about my mom catching me on the computer is very old. Can you come up with something better?

I can not go to bed until my relief comes in and I can go home.

Tell me more about these weapons of mass destruction that Preident Bush was protecting us from.

What were they?

How was Sadam going to deliver them?

Kyle

So since you obviously can quote all my threads, can you quote the one asking if you have ever served your country? You are the only one I have ever been disrespectful to on here, because you think you have all the answers and just want to argue with me and also others on this thread. I think I have said, everyone has freedoms because of what our President and our troops have done...This includes GW and all former Presidents as well.

Since you are argueing about things you still have questions about, I will try to share with you. Saddam had various types of WMD's from chemical to biological. It's a proven fact, you can look all over the internet for pictures of his fellow Iraqi's he murdered with them. He delivered them various ways as well, from helicopter to mass bombings and small range missiles. Any other questions?

Graf - Give me an email address. I want to send you the pictures of my daughter standing, with a gas mask on, at Chemical Ali chemical munitions bunker. Then I want you to look at the picture of the Iraqi MiG buried in the sand in the desert. If they can bury a MiG I think....(some people have a hard time doing that....) that they can bury something the size of a thermos or an oxygen bottle. How do we know Iraq had WMDs? Well, golllllllyyy, we (through CIA business) gave them to Saddam in his turf war with IRAN. Remember the gassing of the Kurds. He wasn't to use it on them. That's when he fell out of disfavor. Now young man, I would like you to go back to your room and reread this and DON'T COME OUT UNTIL YOU UNDERSTAND IT.

Your are VERY uneducated and ignorant of the facts Kyle. The Democrats under Clinton were saying Saddam had WMD's, nukes and was funding terrorism LONG before GW was ever in office. Al Gore was even advocating for na war to begin against Saddam.

As with any other president, GW inherited the intelligence that the Democrat Administration had collected.
