One with the #1 BCS and #2 Non BCS and the other with the #1 Non BCS and the #2 BCS and match the seeds up accordingly with 8 BCS and 8 Non BCS in each bracket. Start the season earlier, and cut out the games like Mich - App. St, Florida - Citadel, Oklahoma - Chatanooga. I mean come on who wants to see these kind of games anyways?? But back to the point of this thread. Bama simply lost to the better team. But anyone who gets up and watches college gameday on saturday morning to the last game on saturday night knows that the Big 12 is where its at. The SEC is a good conference but really the only true powerhouses are Florida, Bama and Georgia. The SEC is down this year LSU, Auburn, Tennessee, and South Carolina are all big time schools with great coaches but dont even come close to making the SEC the toughest conference in college football. The Big 12 is no doubt the best conference on paper with 5 teams in the top 25 and 3 heisman candidates in Harrel (Tex Tech), Bradford (OU), and McCoy (Tex). Throw in QB`s Reising (KU) and Daniel (Mizz), WR`s Crabtree (Tex Tech) and Bryant (Ok. St.), HB`s Hunter (Ok. St.) and Brown (OU) and you have quite a list of awards finalists as well. In the Championship I think OU wins BIG! The 65-21 @$$ whoopin on #2 Texas Tech is convincing enough. They outscore their opponents 54 - 24.5 with a whopping average of 562.1 yards of total offense. Florida averages 442.4 total yards on offense and outscores their opponents 45-12.8. Florida is a great team with a lot of talent but in my opinion they havn`t beaten the talent Oklahoma has beat.

Big 12
#1 Oklahoma 12-1
#3 Texas 11-1
#8 Texas Tech 11-1
#14 Oklahoma State 9-3
#23 Missouri 9-4

SEC
#2 Florida 12-1
#4 Alabama 12-1
#17 Georgia 9-3
#24 Miss. St. 9-4

BCS National Champions: Oklahoma 31 - Florida 17

No doubt about it, the SEC is down this year. But they still have the best 2 teams in the county. We watched the national chapmpionship game saturday folks(that was also the SEC championship) and Florida was the winner. Oklahoma will provide little resitance.

I would take the SEC on a down year over the big 12 their best year......JMO.

Florida-45
Oklahoma- 27

Oklahoma has put up at least 60 pts in 5 straight games! Put up 45 pts. on a Texas team that allows an average of 18 pts a game. Oklahoma`s average margin of victory is only 29.5 compared to a Florida average of 32.3. On the flip side Oklahoma averages 54 points a game compared to a Florida average of 45.2. I estimated my score by taking OU`s average points a game - Florida`s average margin of victory and vice versa. Which would make a score of OU 22.7 - Florida 15.7 Only I added an extra TD because I really dont know if Florida can hold Oklahoma under 30 pts. I know thats probably not the right way to find a points spread but thats just how I figured it up lol. I don`t really care who wins though. Im a huge Penn St. fan and a Bama guy cause Nick Saban is from my home town here in WV. Would have loved to seen a classic 70`s style championship Penn St. and Joe Pa vs. Alabama and Nick Saban (even though he wasn`t even a coach then)

Saban has got to go back to LA. in the Sugar Bowl and coach against another Urban Meyer team, well previous team. Supposed to be the same offense. He should get better at defending that type of offense, and be better prepared for it next year.

or you could look at it and say FL put up 31 on a STRONG AL team that only gave up 12 all year.. now OK has averaged giving up 24 all year and say that is twice what AL gave up so FL will put up 62 on them... hmmmmmmm and OK scored only 60 on a team that has averaged giving up 40, so FL averaged giving up 14 and so i guess OK will score about 21... guess that would make it FL 62 -- OK 21... i know the score will be no where close to that but guess you could use that logic.. all i know is i have watched lots of SEC (i'm AL fan) and I have also watched lots of Big 12 (wife is TX fan) and the Big 12 does NOT hit like the SEC.. i sure was hoping for an AL - TX matchup... i could have really got lucky with that game...
