Oh..Jonah, you're still here?

You can certainly chime in with your training secrets too, we..as in everyone on this thread would love to read them. I cant picture you training hounds though...the thought of a wrinkled old dude wearing a diaper and a football helmet while guys in white coats watch you closely as you play with your hound puppy on the institutions front lawn is more than I want cluttering today's thought process. I'm sure when you get up from your nap, take your noon-time pills, and eat your pudding you'll be back typing something witty. We look forward to that too. Careful with your big spoon.

WHAT? Are you calling my hound Dancer a cull?? Have you ever even seen her? WOW, that takes nads. My pup Dancer would put a hurting on all your dogs..I promise. Anytime you want to try your best against her let me know. I'm more than up for it.

Why are you so interested in her????

You know you'd never be allowed to breed to her, she'll only be bred to titled ENGLISH coon dogs. You also wont be allowed to purchase a pup from her, pups will go to hunters only, and kids looking for good hounds to get started in hunting with. Those people will need to promise to promote and try to better the English breed. I'll give a kid one of her pups before you ever got one.

Yall can say what you want BUT you should never have to teach a coonhound to stay treed..Thats the funniest crap I've ever read on here..Its pretty stupid really LMAO!!!!!! Somebody show me one thats went on to make a real COONDOG that you had to teach to stay treed...I'll need proof..

I had to weigh in on this one. Back in the late sixties I hunted with a dog who was half bluetick/half crazy. He sounded just like the dog you had till he was a little over two years old. Seen him run down and catch a red fox. Then one day he decided to stay put till we got there with the gun. For five years running he went over 100 coon with his best year being 144. Was he breeding stock? No, but he could put hides on the barn, lots of them. Don't know if I'd mess with one like him now, but if someone wants to try it sure beats a bullet.

Yall go ahead and train yalls to stay treed.I'll hunt the ones that stay treed on their own..You might eventually catch up in the coon treeing but I doubt it.. Some dogs like this may have enough brain to work through this.Most dont!! Specially one that want stay treed over 5 min with other hounds..Lifes to short to try and bring a cull around.I dont have time to wait 3 years on a dog to start treeing lol....

3) Correct, you've been very willing to argue with everything people say when it doesn't correspond to your own theory. I personally tune it out. And Yes, I've noticed you love making lists, very odd behavior but you got to do what you got to do.

All GA Dog and myself are saying is...we'd like to see it. Most agree that you shouldn't have to beg a dog to tree...this is not a learned behavior, it's one thats passed on through genetics. Of course there will be people who disagree, but they're simply wrong where as GA Dog and myself are right...very simple really.

Temper Temper Michael!! Whats to straighten out you got your opinion and I got mine. If you read the start of this thread you'll see that I got ripped for my opinion. So if others can post their opinion then so can I. Not one time did I ever say that I could break a dog from leaving a tree and I dont claim to be able to now. I just want to be able to voice my opinion without being made to feel like I just sold a broken TV to a blind man. So if that bothers you ! Tough ! JMO

Im going to pass on some Knowldge an Old Frined of mine gave me, the Gentlemans name was Jody Tarver, he has passed away.
But he Trained more hounds than anyone I have ever known.

He Said, " Some Hounds would rather Trail, than Tree.
Just like some would rather Tree than trail."

And another thing he said, , "you cant stop a Tree dog from Treeing, but you can Slow them down, and stop them from treeing too much."

Hope this helps, and Im sorry you have had so much frustration, with this Hound.
