NOT CULLS!

I saw some awfully nice pups going to youth. These pups should have every chance in the world to do well in whatever the youth choose to do with them. If they work hard these dogs should win titles etc... I am pretty sure that Don and some of the other people involved here have been more than willing to help these kids train etc... When someone wanted a started dog, They found one, a Beagle? Found one... etc...
How can people think this is bad??? The people who are helping out with this are getting nothing but JOY out of it???? We were willing to transport pups for free, for the fun of it, the joy of being able to see a kid with a pup etc...
People are very petty in the competitive world.... I know that and yet I still feel it should be able to change, we should all get along etc... I guess I'm very child like and naive... and I hope I never harden and get bitter... and miserable. I like life and people and animals far too much for that....

Guys and Gals... please keep encouraging the youth! We have become a society of out of shape video game playing people... those of us living closer to the big cities see evidence of this every day... DON'T give up on our future!

Happy Hunting! Have a great, safe Memorial day!
Heather and Bob

In order for this program to work we are going to need help from everyone from everywhere. We have had youth from all over to write essay's. I don't know all these kids and where they all of from. I have never been in some of these states. But the hunters living there know. I have been looking at the essay's and they are some good ones. Lots of kids WANTING to hunt. That is the first step. The second step is to help these kids get the stuff they need to hunt. This is going to be the hard part. Take a look thur all of our used stuff and give to a youth what we do not need. In order for a youth to hunt they need a good dog, and equiptment to get the job done. I know how high priced things are but we are going to need these youth in the near future to keep our sport alive. I don't know about yall but I kind of like this sport.lol What about you? Thanks Don Myers.

I think what Don and the crew has done is the greatest thing in the world. Giving those kids an opporunity of a life time and enjoyment. I too, have done the same.. These youth are the biggest supporters of our sport and will continue on.. But they cannot do it on their own. We need to ban together and make sure that They have the opporunities to do well and posses the knowledge to continue onward.
I have personally have seen what it does:
1) ( cannot say names) a good kid but started to go in with a bad crowd.. His mother and I talked it over and now this kid is total into coonhunting and getting AWESOME grades. His mother and stepfather are getting into it. I gave him a pup and that made his world. Now he has been troubled free.. I am going to help this kid get his friends involve too!! The only thing it is hard to get equipment and such, I am not made of money and nor is this kid's parents. He uses mine which I dont mind doing
2) Devan, he just started into this and I gave him a broke dog to hunt with and He is doing an awesome job..

Take A Youth Coonhunting can change everything!!!
Doing a big part also, gives you the goosebumps when they succeed..

Keep your kids hunting and you will never have to look for your kids. This will help keep them out of trouble.

We are getting some great essay's from the youth. Go over on Coonhound Class. and look under Youth Please Read. There are some great ones. This proves that there is a need for this program. We have youth that need our help to get started. We will do our best for them. Help us.

I just gave one to a young fella that has been trying to get a started young dog. I am not the first, and I won't certainly be the last to do so. Guys, I commend you for what you are doing. People like Texas Champ would rather complain than actually get on here and do something to help.
If you are not part of the solution, you are part of the problem. I have never met one kid at a nite hunt who hunted because their mommy or daddy made them or wanted them to. Nobody coonhunts because they are made to, you either love this sport or you will not even bother going out.

Man up Texas, lets see if you'll get behind your own words and donate a started young dog.

I hooked a young man up with a kennel, a leash & collar, and he will get his dog this weekend. I would like to wish Justin the best in the sport and if he should need some help in anyway I am here. Look for Justin at a hunt soon. He is going to do great things.

I HEARD FROM BRENT AND JAMES TODAY. THEY ARE VERY HAPPY SO FAR WITH JOE. HE HAS MADE 2 TREES AND HAD COON IN EACH ONE. HE STILL NEEDS SOME WORK AROUND THE TREE, BUT HE IS 2 FOR 2 IN HIS SHORT TIME AT HIS NEW HOME. HE ALSO CAUGHT ONE ON THE GROUND. GO BRENT!

Go Brent! I am very glad to hear you ahve a nice hound. Keep him in the woods. That is what it takes to make a winner. Time in the woods and work on the bench. Remember to trim toe nails. I have heard that for years.lol I have one judge down here that tells me that every time I see her.lol I just tell her I have hunting dogs not show dogs.

One request

Don I would like to request one thing. Would you please pm me a list of breeders and vendors who have complained about this program. My reason is so that I don't ever do business with them. Anyone who can't
even see that getting kids started into coonhunting will only benefit future puppy, supply, and equipment sales must be blind. Not that I think that is the reason for your program just that their whining makes know sense at all. I am considering making a cross and if I do one pup is already promised to a youngman. I will also donate one or more to your program
if you don't mind Blueticks. Keep up the good work. Mike

P.S.
I have a nine year old nephew who was given an english pup by a friend of mine and a light from another man who feels as you do about the youth.
That man is Danny Glista. At 14 months old his pup is out striking and out treeing the older dogs on many occasions. Sure glad he didn't get her from Texaschamp. My nephew and I are sure glad that people like you,
Danny and my friend Paul Newell believe in youth.

Mike I will not make a list as you ask. I am hoping that when they see that this is a good and honest program they will be willing to help us. I have had one or two show int. already. I understand them checking into it before they will help.

I would like to thank all of the people that have helped and all the ones who are stepping up and offering to help. It will take all of us to get it done.
