Seen some post only getting a mile in clear terrain and some 1.5 miles in mountains,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,mostly no one seems to mention the type terrain they are getting it in.
Are you getting 2 miles in the mountains? Was that before leaves were on the tree? Now that leaves are on the tree are you getting less range or the same? Are you getting the 4 miles Bruce is getting?
Will be more interesting to see the threads on all the different forums this summer as more people have the systems and most of the different threads on the forums is based on in the winter.
With the new stylew antennae, we are getting anywhere from1.5 tp 2.5 miles in starightline ranges in the mountains. Plugged into the roof mount antennae on the trucks we get 5-8 miles..In fact we have never failed to get a signal. We are in full canopy now and it hasnt affects the range at all.
I believe most people never sit down and truly figure out how to use them.
