Nice & cool here. Well is acting dry so picked up a load of water on the way home from work & dumped it in the cistern. The ladies had their morning run & now it is nap time for all of us.

10 more days on this shift, then I can get caught up on sleep & a social life. The local club is having a show & hunt on the 10th, thinking that is a must.

Good luck at AO, ApBlue. I told Chuck its on my bucket list whether we take a dog or not.

Hope everyone has a nice Labor Day wkend. Chuck mowed all the 2nd crop hay so part of our wkend we'll be laboring.
Tonight was Dandy's first night out down on the farm. Walked him around 2 cornfields...nothing, which I guess is better than a deer chase since we saw about a half doz walking out. Walking up the barnyard hill, sure made me feel old and too fat.

I enjoy it here. Came last year too. Hung out with alot of the bbcha crew and alot of other bluetickers today. Met up and hung out at my buddies camper with a bunch of guys from my two local clubs. Met a guy from delaware thats a officer with the gascon assoc. He apparently lives within 45 min from my moms house. Man id love to eventually own a gascon. He had a momma wit 2 3 month old pups. Dang things are already almost as big as my bluetick. Im not huntin till sat nite in registered. My buddy were sharin a room wit is out tonite for a slam hunt. Waitin on him to come back. He feels confident wit his black and tan.

After having dug to a depth of 10 feet last year, New York Scientists found traces of copper wire dating back 100 years and came to the conclusion their ancestors already had a telephone network more than 100 years ago.

Not to be outdone by the New Yorkers, in the weeks that followed, a California archaeologist dug to a depth of 20 feet, and shortly after, a story in the LA Times read: 'California archaeologists, finding traces of 200 year old copper wire, have concluded that their ancestors already had an advanced high-tech communications network a hundred years earlier than the New Yorkers.'

One week later, The Atlanta Journal, a local newspaper in Atlanta, GA, reported the following: After digging as deep as 30 feet in his pasture near Jonesboro, GA, Bubba Brown, a self-taught archaeologist reported that he found absolutely nothing. Bubba has therefore concluded that 300 years ago Georgia had already gone wireless.

Makes me proud to be from Georgia!

ApBlue, r u and ur wife on the right with the Blueticks?

Slough, sorry to read ur house was in Hermine's path. Hope there isn't too much damage/cleanup. Enjoyed the joke.

Weather has been beautiful here. We made 340 bales of hay today and probably have 60 - 75 more to get in tomorrow.

That's great u could all go out together. I go to horse things with friends. We don't take horses 🐎 to a couple of things in winter early spring, but summer and fall, we go camping and trail riding with our horses. Usually, husbands stay at home to feed dogs.

She did good, 2nd and 2nd, 4 dogs in her heat. I wasn't complaining for it being her first time in the water. We skipped the field trial because of the heat and there was no competition for her in the show so we sat it out too. I was hoping to go to Clifton Forge Saturday but the wife laid down the law and I have to accompany her to her friends wedding.

Yea this was my second year. Had a blast both times. Love hangin out wit friends in far away places at such a big event. Both times it was nothin but coonin for 4 days. Talked coon dogs. Showed dogs. Hunt dogs. Sit around on the grounds with a thousand dogs. Everywhere you go, walmart, grocery store, tobacco outlet to fill up on copenhagen, hotel, and cruzin all u see is trucks wit dog boxes and other coon hunters. And its so obvious. Down thru town u can hear dogs barkin. Its a paradise lol. Maybe cause im still relatively new to the comp world.
