Congratulations guys! They predicted Smoke would win it and win it he did. Roy I will give you a call here in a few days after you get rested up and I ll take that hunt with you and Timmy. We went to 12 hr days so I havent had time and plus knew you guys were busy too. I should be in the Olathe area until close to the middle of June.

Thanks everbodu for the nice comments. This was my first bluetick days and what a great event. I hunted 3 nights and the guys I hunted with were great guys. We never once had a problem, argument, or anything. For such a big event with people travelin far and a lot at stake everyone wanted to win the honest way. And I heard the same thing out of the majority of cast.
On fri night smoke had a circle together then 2 coons by himself. On sat night he had a coon together a circle together and 3 coons by himself. He won 2 nd gr nite on fri then 1st gr nite on sat and king of hunt. It was a dream come true for me. Smoke tried hard for me and made me proud. God has blessed us with good hounds, good friends, and good family.

smoke was treeing and it sounded like someone fell a decent size tree where smoke was treein. He shut up for a couple seconds, I was gettin ready to run that way then he hammered back down.

Tim and dad, make fun of my handlin skills all u want. Smoke and I will keep winnin trophies. To be all honest I might have been a little nervous when I knew king was possible.

Timmy, I thought he had done blown the top plumb outa that tree when that tree went crack, bang, crash, and Smoke shut up. You started that way for a few feet and then he came back on the wood.

Didn't know you were all ready getting ribbed about your handling skills (or lack there of) or I would have ribbed you more about being a "professional handler". lol.

You don't have to be much of a handler the way Smoke looked the other night. He made it look easy. I would say in the 2 hours of hunting, he probably only had 30 minutes of it that he wasn't treeing.

once again to all that have sent their congrats.

The ole boy isn't perfect but he is a coondog and will get part of yours and some by himself. He probabley has more drive to get under a coon then any dog out there. Kinda like John Smith said " Smoke runs track out of necessity so he can tree". We like him and will see how far he can go.

I would also like to say that the sportsmanship, honesty, and integerty that everyone showed this last weekend was exceptional. Everyone had the same goal in mind and each and every one of you showed what makes this such a fine charter.

Thanks again to all the past Officers and good luck to the new.
