We got peanuts starting to be plowed up. Getting a few showers along. Holes and creeks still dry but it is better then it was and maybe will cool off a little at night soon. Poison is worse on me then my fear of snakes. Gators can be a problem if you dont pick your spots correctly. Trying to start some 3 month olds, but snakes do scare me with them. Hope all is good in the north country CW, see ya down the road.

Just got in-it's 1:20am. Had a couple of hunts where I failed to see a coon. It don't happen very often but I don't like it a bit. Rejet and I have spent too much time crossing swimming water lately so we went a different direction tonight. Turned him out on a dry stream bed where he could stretch out and I would not have to get wet going to him. It took awhile before he opened in North-I started walking-Kudzu! I wonder if snow shoes would work in that stuff. The dog turns West and the track is steady getting better-course the dog is getting further from me-I should have stayed at the truck. 1.4 miles and treed and a hump for me. Big sweetgum beside dry stream bed. Thought coon peaked twice but was not 100% sure. Walked back to the truck, drove close and walked back in from another direction and Mr. John Brown coon is looking at me with both eyes from the same spot I thought I had seen him twice before. Felt better knowing and those leaves are not going to be hanging around that much longer anyway. I'm taking my little giblet tell to bed and dream about them John Brown coons and these Purina fed Jet bred Blueticks! Knew I forgot something last night-Rattler #5-Timber 4' w/ 4 rattlers and a button-one pretty bad boy. Dispatched w/ haste!

Just got back from SC catching Shark, Flounder, Sea trout, blow fish, drum, spotted sea bass, etc...ect...Had a blast. Now its back to the old grind...Hopefully blues is out of heat for I can knock the dust off her, and have some fun in the woods. My next Homicide trial starts Oct 1st, so maybe ill get a couple weeks in before that starts. I Took some extra hunting cloths to SC. I, thought maybe I'd get a chance to run down and see ya CW, but that didn't work out. the fish was hitting like never before. Anyway Talk to ya later!

Mav pup on left, Blues on right....580 Yards, 15 minutes through swamp, briars, over and across small river twice, and through a soy bean field, and a three acre corn field. Coon treed in a tree he most def did'nt want to tree in but had no choice!!!!

James, Joe, Eric, John, Lance, Michael and everyone else if I left you out-good to hear from you. I make no secret of the fact that I love these dogs and this sport. You would not know that if you listen to people who have labeled my friends and I as "Haters." They are upset because we tell the truth and that is not a concept they are comfortable with. Not in their conduct during competition nor in their postings on here. Time will enventually straighten all this out but in the mean time we will continue to tell the truth when asked. The internet is just the latest vehicle by which we express ourselves. It is or has fast replaced the tailgates for the BS. Will be interested to find out who Eric and Scott take their 6 Again females to for breeding purposes. It is nice to know that coons are being harassed around these United States every night by dogs and dogs out of dogs that came from right here. Good luck and don't be a hater-well, unless you are just telling the truth, then welcome to the club!

With Fall in the air and traveling on my mind we made a round last night. Ricky Herrington brought Amazin Tac and Bobby had May Flower. Rejet was on the end of my leash for a little while anyway. Ist drop the two males left there driving-May Flower is working close and she ain't worried about what they are doing. Flower trees right in front of us and after a very lengthy search we find it. The other 2 are out of hearing by now but the garmins say they D flat and belly up-we found 2 coons up there. Next drop we tree a hot 1 in quick fashion-you know-what the walker people say Blueticks don't do. Kenny Jones and I agreed to be at a hunt this year and I intend to keep my end of that promise. Spoke with Ed on the phone and he says "When you commin up?" Scott Phillips has thrown some interesting food for thought my way and with October close by Michigan is calling me to come on up. I have said before I would live up there from April to October each year if possible. You know for someone that still has rumors out there saying -'he don't hunt"-I sure stay in the woods alot. If you are in this area sometime give me a call & we will go for a hunt & you can see for yourself.

hey all. yes fall is in the air,with that season is not far 10 nov cant wait!!!! all night opening nite!! tradition but all night is gettin shorter with age!!! got some more 6 again decendents on the ground. schnook had 10 got 6 left, buzz has 3 pups show champs 2 pups with 1st place wins, 1 with 4th place win in the ukc nite hunts, savage had a acha 1rst but got blasto and was put down.hopefully on the other side warren has him goin!!!!ruger is with jason taggert in ind ready to go back in the hunts!!!!has 29 living out thre, and 6 more 1 week old,wish i coulda got more to competion hunters!!!!

Drove up to Newborn, Ga. for the bench show. Ch Nt Ch Mead's Bl Rejet won ch. male w/ competition. The nt ch cast was a 3 dog and he won that too. This was the first night champion cast he has been entered in. I do not call that dual purpose. Bluetick's are only bred for one purpose around here. If I told that dog he was dual purpose he might not ever tree another coon. While I'm thinking about it "I don't PLEASURE hunt either."Just coon hunting for me -everybody saying it, doesn,t make it right. Hope to see a bunch of you soon!

little more braggin on buzz pups!! lotto(buzzX sammy) won the hunt at casey fri nite 1rst place reg 2nd hunt! annie 14 mo. (buzzX precious) got her 1rst win towards grch show looked descent in her 1rst hunt but needs more social meetings she wasnt to sure bout other hounds yet. but all in all we had a good weekend, and with any luck at all we should see some nitechs outa buzz in the near future hope all is well with you all and good huntin!!! ps... wouldnt mind finding buzz some females instead of all mine lol!he is gonna hook up with penny this winter and prolly sammy this fall!!

It was great seeing so many people that I had not seen in a long time. I also had the pleasure of meeting several people for the first time,some of which are regulars on here. Have been saying for years if there is one hunt a year a Bluetick man needs to attend -this is the one. The South was well represented this year and that made for several gatherings scattered about the camp ground at Flora. Mother nature wanted to act up a little bit and it was especially cold for us Southerners--a few local folks admitted to being cold as well. We had a great time, enjoyed the meeting but most of all the fellowship and looking at some mighty fine Blueticks from all over our Bluetick world. We had a safe trip home aided by Jeff Timm's excellent catfish and hush puppies. My only question is where was Kenny Jones? We had agreed earlier in the year to meet up there-will have to give him a call. Tried to bring a little cold air back to hurry up Fall down here-today feels great and it is good to be back home. It is going to get dark in no time-I know where I'll be!

John-glad I got to meet you and enjoyed the visit-moose leg and all. Our hunts since we got back -Monday night treed 4, Tuesday night 3 and last night 1-just have to try harder tonight. Spoke with Dwight Hawse in Virginia he has Tank out of 6 Again x Gr Nt Ch Sisssy-Bear hunter and trees coon. Short good visits with Casey Poole and then Jonathan Ford yesterday-two younger good Bluetick men here in Georgia. Gotta cut this off-I'm heading way up North above the Mason Dixon line-It is called Atlanta and it is not part of the South any longer.

CW, thanks for the PM, I had my pup running loose too up until today. She was following me out to the gravel road so I thought it was time to tie her up. She really gets after a caged coon, and tree's on it good. I ordered a net with a long handle but it hasnt got here yet, I beleive this pup will take right off when i can play with her with the coon in a net.I met Ed and Terry at Autum Oaks,Looking forward to meeting you somtime. I seen the pup Ed sent to you he was a nice one. Ill keep you posted on my pup as she progress's. thnx,Gary Conaway
