Our season opened July 1 this year I guess they are worried about turkeys or something. It is dry here and the moon has been bright but I'm just making excuses.lol I need to get my but in the woods!

Yea our season opened on July 1 for private land, 1 coon a night. Statewide season opened on september 16, two coons a night you can take. It ends february 28. I don't know why TN. season is longer than yours because you have more coons in Ohio. Your season should be longer IMO. How many coons can you take a night up there? If I shot out every coon I treed i would not have anything to run.

We don't have a limit we do have a lot of coons up here I always wished our season came in earlier but we can run our dogs all yr long

If anyone is looking for a nice Joe dog I have one for sale in TN. I haven't had the time to hunt him like I should for dealing with foster kids that can't seem to act right. My wife is working long hours and I have to watch the kids at home. This dog has a loud chop mouth and likes to tree. He is a very good looking dog and deserves to be finished out. I want to thank all those who bred their females to Joe or hunting pups off Joe. Joe died this afternoon in his dog house he was a super nice hound that i was proud to follow behind i have some nice young dogs out of him to carry on with though he will be missed

Sure Sorry to hear about Joe alway the best ones have to go. Been hunting old Copper he sure a fine hound one of the best hounds I have walked behind great around the house and likes to tree coons just like his dad joe. Not hunted him much in last few weeks had two gyp come in and decided not to breed eather one so Copper sure was upset at me barked him self down so trying to get him back up too his loud bark he is coming back but still take more time but he is ready to hit the woods everyday I go to feed him. Take care Buddy sure sorry about Joe but glad you have his offspring coming along.
