Pups

Those are some real nice lookin pups. If I get a chance I'll take some new pics of spots pups. Spot and iron man are Littermates for any new comers on the board. They both are the real Deal. I will have spot at Walker Days in Auburn, Indiana April 14,15, &16th. This will be her first UKC Night Hunt day-bough . I'm really looking forward to it.

Starke's Finley River Spot

Hi,

The best of luck to you Jason. Little Spot will always have a big place in my heart. I could tell at 12 weeks old that she was going to be something special. I tried to give her to a friend of mine to keep her close to home. He did a very foolish thing. He sent her back to me, stating he didnt like her mouth. In 40 years of raising Finley River Dan dogs, I can tell you without a doubt, the females' mouths are not developed at the puppy stage of life. They will change.

She is a way above average female. The high priced variety. The kind that cannot be bought. I am raising another one at this time. She is out of Iron Man.

Looking forward to my female pup out of Spot, whenever it is born.

Iron Man pups

Hi,

Who said Finley River pups were weak tree dogs? Look at these Iron Man pups on that tree. Look weak to you? They have Finley River Chief in their pedigree about 150-200 times. I havent counted them all. The mother has Chief 126 times by herself. She will live her life out right here on the farm, as will all my females.

If you can accurately count the tree barks on Steel, you are a bonified treeing contest judge, lol.

Call Art Kiger 308-325- 0375 and ask how loud these pups are and how far you can hear them tree. Ask him if they are independent and if they will go hunting.

Nice job, Art. He really knows how to raise a pup.

I sent an outstanding pup to Ohio a couple of years ago to a man, who thought this pup was a dud. He was running and treeing his own coon before 1 year old. The pup had treed at least 20 coons BY HIMSELF, according to the owner, and he had not shot a single coon down to this pup. I offered to buy this pup several times privately and publically, without success. After being very dissatisfied with his pup, the owner left him on the chain for 2 years. Remind you, I tried to buy him several times. He did absolutely nothing with him. He was picked up late this fall and the rust was blown off. The dog did not even know how to lead.

Sir, with all due respect, come for a hunt anytime you would like. I will show you what your inability to train a pup turned out to be. Some people just aren't cracked up to train pups. Do everybody a favor, buy a trained cooner.

Would you like to hear one of the loudest pups to ever bark? Call Jeff Wyatt and ask him about a little pup he has out of Iron Man. Have him play the audio back to you.

Hearing is believing. Call Mike Umphrey, 573-881-3090, and ask him about the pup. He has been trying to buy him ever since he heard him bark, lol.

I'm not bragging about Iron Man's pups. They speak for themselves. They are backed by a strong Finley River Dan and Dan 3 breeding program. I don't care about the "modern day" dogs. If they suit you, that's great.

How is Tanna doing. Would like to see a pick of her some time. Ive been really pounding spot in the woods since she come off the pups and the only thing i can say is wow!!!! This female just keeps getting better and better. Lay-ups no problem, cold feeder Tracks not an issue, hot running coon - He better climb or else.. And what a tree dog. Lock tight, stand on the wood every breath no nonsence Treeeee Dog..Not to mention two to three dying roar locate anyone can call... I Like her , ALOT!!

Hi,

Tanna is nononsense. Turn her out of the box and she will knock a hole in the dark. She is a hard hunter, FAST, TRACK DRIVING MACHINE. She is a hard tree dog. She has a LOUD RADICAL MOUTH on track and tree. She has a cold nose. Reference: Jeff Wyatt 1-660-888-1717.

She looks exactly like her mother. She runs and trees exactly like her mother. Her mouth is very difficult to distinguish from her mothers. She is a loveable dog with loads of personality. Just like her mother. She and her mother will be here until they pass.

Tanna is Iron Man's littermate.

Hi,

Steel is a good looking son of a gun that is one loud hard tree dog. Who said Finley River dogs would not get on a tree and blow the top out? Who said they were just show dogs? Call Art Kiger. He can tell you all about him 308-325-0375.

I have had the pleasure of breeding, raising and hunting these naturals for 40 years or so.

I don't run a puppy mill. If you want a Finley River pup like Steel, Fame, or Little Super Man, you can get one right here, when I make the crosses.

A $200 deposit will hold a pup for you. They are $400 a piece.

Special crosses will be higher. You can not buy a better bred Finley River pup anywhere in the country.

People call and want a young started dog. I don't have any. To get these dogs, you buy them at 10 weeks old. I keep what I want to replace breeding stock. If young dogs are here, it is to replace an older female.

Gr Ch Ramblin Emma HTX

Hi,

Took Emma about 5 am Saturday morning. Wind blowing hard. Walked her down the middle of a pasture and turned her loose into the wind. She fired like always and flew down to a far away fence row. She struck right away and drove that track through cutover, briars and multifloral rose so thick you cant walk through it. Back and forth across the branch almost to the highway, and then straight back 3/4 mile to a huge double Sycamore tree with several holes you could put a gallon bucket in. That track was about a mile and a quarter long. She blistered that cold track, threw that great big loud locate and blew the top out with that big radical tree mouth.

I sat there and listened to her tree and petted her head for awhile. I was in no hurry. I told her what a good job she did and what a good dog she is. I hooked her up and told her we couldn't get him. She wagged her tail all the way back to the truck, while she and I talked about her young son that I am getting ready to start and what high hopes I have for him. His name is Starke's Finley River Sugar Boy.

Before you get the wrong idea, he is 27 inches tall, weighs about 85 lbs and has a whale of a mouth and a head as big as a St Bernard.

How do I keep getting such pups? You simply can't beat good genetics. Ask Jeff Wyatt, 660-888-1717. He gets to see them quite often at night in the woods...not on a bench like some people think. The joke is on them.

Hi,

Want a pup who has the chance of becoming your dream dog? The one that does things you didn't know a hound was capable of doing?

Call me 573-819-1531. All old Finley River blood crossed on my Rambler dogs or linebred Finley River Dan dogs. Same bloodline for over 40 years. I bred Trap to Lipper and that started the Rambler dogs with Ol Factory. I have hunted them ever since Rattler was born. The best track dog I have ever hunted with or knew about, Starke's Finley River Rattler.

Send a $200 deposit. Pups are $400 either sex or more for a special cross.

I make one or two crosses a year. I don't have a puppy factory.

Iron Man bred back to Cadillac Jane

Hi,

Bred Iron Man back to Cozy and little Super Man's mother, Cadillac Jane.
Super Man has a mouth you just don't hear on a pup. He is LOUD. He does not sound like a pup. He sounds like a 4-5 year old male with an outstanding mouth. Cadillac Jane is the loudest female I ever heard bark.

Cozy is a loud mouthed female. I just love that pup. When she was little, I would just carry her around. Her eyes are like chunks of coal and her little face says, "super smart"

I am very high on this cross. Grandson of Rambler crossed on a granddaughter Rambler, son of old Ziggy, daughter of Lill and son of Jane. Two of the best females I have ever had the pleasure of hunting. Lill has passed on and Jane is still alive. I pet her little head and hug her every day. $400 male or female with a $200 deposit.

A Big Thank You To Everyone involved.

Some things are only possible because of all the hard work and dedication other people put into something way before People like you and I stumble on to it. Whether it be by a lot of hard work or mere coincidence I guess it doesn't really matter. It's what you do with it after that, That's important.

Well, It has been several years in the making but after Days/Months on the phone searching talking and texting, hundreds of miles traveling, motel rooms, and of coarse Hundreds of Dollars spent. The fruits of my labor are finally here. I have three pups that turned 6 months old April 1st.
1 female (Sage) and 2 males ( Todd and Skinner). The female (Sage) like her mother (spot) will never leave my house other than to be hunted or bred. I just thought I would share the cross on paper with everyone. And a special thanks to Mr. Starke who is a vath of knowledge when it comes to these dogs and John Zalinger for letting me take Whiner to get collected 4 yrs ago. That doesn't sound like a big deal but John really didn't know me from Adam. Whiner is around 12 yrs old now and unfortunately even 4 yrs ago his semen wasn't that great. I had him collected twice and only got 4 straws total. I used one breeding (AI) and I didn't get any pups. The second try I got these 3 pups and that I think was a blessing. Thanks again. Hi,

Boys, Finley River Dan blood crossed on Lipper blood produced. Study a 7 generation pedigree of Rambler. It Is powerful.

Rambler was never advertised at stud. He was one of the best kept secrets in the coon dog world.

Dominating track dogs, totally independent from birth, pressure tree dogs that were accurate. Hard, fast hunters. Most of his pups had loud overpowering mouths.
Rambler produced them in every litter.

Rush has a UKC 1st place win. Rick Salfen owns her. Nite Hawk Roy won 2nd place in the PKC World Championship. Roy was the 1999 PKC National winner.

The best of Finley River crossed on Lipper blood. I have made those crosses since the first cross between Trap and Lipper in 1988 that started the Rambler dogs of today. Emma has 15 shots of Lipper. She is not a wired up idiot. She trees coons track after track with a big screaming mouth, a screaming locate a kid could call, and will stay until you get there with that classic Lipper style scream, squall, bawl tree mouth.

These pups will be powerhouse track dogs that have a real live coon in the tree anytime you want to take them hunting... that includes January and February.

I wasn't able to get Sheba home to breed her to Major. She will be bred to Major this fall.

Gr Ch Ramblin Emma HTX was bred to Gr Ch Nt Ch Nite Hawk Sid, an outstanding grandson of PKC National Ch PKC PLatinum Ch PKC World Championship 2nd place Gr Nt Ch Nite Hawk Roy. And,Gr Ch Cadillac Jane was bred to Gr Ch Iron Man.

These pups will give you as good of a chance to have a very nice hound as any crosses being made today. That I can say with confidence. I have been breeding the same bloodlines for 40 years.
