Dave Bialik handled these results for our Zone for years and included everyone when he listed the winners. Big Boy was a double winner that night because I hear that Jamie Synder and Lucy were 5th place on Friday night. Lucy is out of Big Boy X Blue Bio Terri Tooker and is only 11 months old!

C.W., Many people worked very hard this weekend and we just walked in the house. I am shocked to look on here and see you taking a shot at people. Mr. Bialik did an excellent job for years but has never once posted "all" the winners on the computer. He does not have one and does not even know how to use one. To me everyone who was there was a winner because they promoted blues. We had a great hunt/show and 90 dogs were entered. The last thing we need is you being negative about a positive experience. Yes I am offended by the shot you took! I think that was uncalled for! Lance

Jacob Webb did an excellent job and is a classy young man. We had a great time hunting and visiting and I pull for him every year. Jacob does his share of winning. He had a good chance of winning King of Hunt and the coon did not cooperate. I drew him saturday night. Congradulations to Johnny, Jacob, and C.W. Y'all have a nice hound.

Lucy has a very good reputation with the local guys. I have not hunted with her but the ones that have really like her. Congradulations on her 5th place.

We will post the king and queen winners as always when we get a chance. It might be tomorrow. We are pooped.

Hey John, you studing out Buzz? I have a Bear dog that will be needing some male attention some time this year, I hope. the pups wont be registered, reference the majority die in the woods anyway. I was going to breed to Ike, our 5 again male, but he got snake bit in the Kennel and died a couple weeks ago. If your breeding Buzz let me know, and how much...Thank's man.

snake bit

What kind of snake do you think bit him? 5 Again got bit by huge rattlesnake 5 years ago. He nearly died, but finally came around. Sorry about your loss.

The snake had to be an ole timber Rattler or a copper head. Came home he was laying in the middle of the Kennel, like he went to sleep. Right leg was swollen, with two big puncture wounds. Evidently Ike Couldn't get away from it.

The Bluetick world has lost the hardest working member and it's long time supporter yesterday when we lost Dave Bialik. Twice Dave stepped up to serve as Vice President of BBOA. He can never be repaced and will be missed sorely by those of us who were fortunate to have called him friend and served with him over the years. Another good friend and blueticker is taking it easy for a few days-Dale Parker. He had a little scare recently, I told him his check engine light came on-thank the Lord! A few days of rest and following Dr's. orders should have him back out there soon. When events like this happen those things that really matter most come quickly into focus. Any criticism by me, real or imagined, is meant to motivate or alter behavior that should not be rewarded. I will help anyone who is sincere, honest and dedicated to having a better Bluetick. Dave Bialik represented all that was ever good about our sport. A sport where honor and your word have all but disappered. I have always maintained that this sport is what we make it. What kind of example are you setting? Some people know the price of everything, the value of nothing! I have talked with Dave's family and are making sure his old hunting buddys are aware.

CW.....

I hate to hear that about Dave...John, I appreciate the use of Buzz. I can make that easy for ya. I'll make the trip to get him if you want me to hunt him, or I can just bring the female for a service. Don't make no difference to me my brother! I'm just afraid if I do like him I'll try and buy him, LOL...Take care.

David L. Bialik & Warren Haslouer

A very good turnout of Bluetick people, Coonhunters, former workmates, friends and family in Stockbridge, Ga. at the Visitation for Dave. Two arrangements of flowers were on display, each respectfully representing the Bluetick Breeders and Coon Hunters and Bluetick Breeders of America. A few had stopped by to pay their respects prior to our arrival. Dave's family as well as representatives of the organization have made their desires known about proper recognition for him. I have assured them that plans were and are under way to do just that. If you have anything you wish to contribute along those lines by all means send it to me. Plans for the memorial hunt in his name and the articles in the upcoming Blue books are under way. Truly sorry to hear of Warren's passing. No man ever owned as many COONHOUNDS as Mr. Haslouer. I spell it with capital letters to emphasize the word coonhounds-not just dogs but good ones! He spanned so many decades and his level of involvement in that pursuit were unmatched, as was Dave Bialik's. Each man different but dedicated in their own ways. The Bluetick world has lost two great ones who will never be repaced, nor will they ever be forgotten as long as men coon hunt with Blueticks.

hey eric, i will figure out what we can do had a kid put him in a hunt fri nite he came in with 350 plus and 75 minus said he did alright! not sure how long i wanna part with him this close to hide season? but if i have my young ones good and going you can keep him a few months he is a fairly nice hound that loves to get treed. dry weather gave him a few problems but he seemed to thrive better in it!! just got to hot to quick? but would love to get him bred to some different females at no cost, he has 33 pups out there and at least half of them were never given a chance. i like the ones ive seen go and will try to get pics one of these days for you all down that way. take care all and good huntin!!!!

With cooler temperatures and lower humidity than normal for August it feels more like Michigan than Georgia-66 degrees right now. Quite a round last night. After a little debate as to where to cut loose, we turned two out , got a hot track going and the dogs split treed-I won't bore you with the deep and alone stuff-we looked at two coons and I,m happy. Not a word was mentioned about trying to get one more quick one, cause as we all know that can be the kiss of death to a short night. Took awhile to get struck and the coon was not headed back toward us. Lost contact on Garmin! Started driving and broke out longer antenna. He is treed over a mile away behind some houses-so Bobby cuts out the lights, sets in the truck while I, also light out, ease towards him-ready to hit the deck when the first round goes off. Got the dog off a big Oak on the side of a hill. Yea I did look and Brer Coon is looking down at me as if to say "What in the Hell are yall doin here?" Now if I make the truck with dog in toe and no shots being fired-I'm happy again. It is great when I feel like a kid again out there-cause I loved it then and I love it now. I hope you do, too! Besides there is a rumor circulating around that it is going to get dark again to night--sho's you bawn!

Rejet photo

Charles on page 21 there is a photo of Rejet. The dog hunts real good for me with or with out company. I will not turn him loose without a shock collar since he swam the river on me. I walked him out last night with out a leash-most of the time I just snap it on him and drop it. He and I have had quite a time but the dog thinks this is home now and is operating good for me. I'll let the dog do his own talking in the woods-no excuses-I have heard enough of them to last me a lifetime. Ed Mead knows the dog, you can ask him.

It is 2:07 am and I just got in from hunting. Some friends who are headed for Autumn Oaks wanted to hunt with another dog before they left. Well their dog went one way and mine, Rejet the other way. Might as well have been hunting alone. Their dog did a good job-an English gr nt ch and I wish them well at the hunt. Bobby went in with them to their tree and found the coon-no problem. I was headed in the opposite direction and cross the creek. Rejet ended up treed two hours before I got to him. Rough does not come close to what I went through but the dog did his job and I had to hold up my end of the deal. Was real glad to get the coon to look. After a good bit of petting Rejet and I headed out. Every one was waiting on us and I apologized for taking so long. Will sleep good tonight because I felt like I had been on a coon hunt. Like a pop up but I love it when these coons want to run-we covered some real estate tonight. A pup from Rejet and Hope is heading back from Autumn Oaks-so the pup and his sire will be the only male dogs on the place. If he turns out to be a keeper these ladies will not mind. Good night !

CW,

Sounds like ya had a great time, LOL. Blues has been in heat for about a 9 days. Hasn't been that long, but Seems like for ever. Been hunting my young male pup Maverick since Blues in heat. It's a Hit n miss game with this pup right now. Can't wait till the leaves are gone for I can see how bad he is missing, LOL. Seems like I see a lot more eyes with Blues...leaves or no leaves. Oh well talk to you later.

Would someone please let Mike know that I have his order ready. Mike ordered $7,500.00 of duct tape for PETA. I got it for him right here. My plan is to donate the entire proceeds from this sale to BBOA--so please let him know the sooner the better. Your cooperation and assistance is appreciated!

BLOOD-New and/or Old

If you read many of these comments on the threads alot of people are concerned about the BLOOD in their Blueticks. Many references talk about --its in the blood, old blood and new blood. People have even asked me about the blood in my dogs. What could I tell them for sure? So off I went to my Vet for help and these are the answers I got. My dogs in his professional opinion do not have any old blood in them. So therefore they must have new blood. And he also said every single one of them had normal blood. Not great but not bad either-just normal. He said, the Vet that is, that the blood had red and white blood cells in it. He also said there wasn't anything wrong with their blood and that they all appeared to be full blooded Blueticks-being as they didn't have any ticks, or fleas and did not appear to have been bitten too much lately by mosquitoes-not many parasites in em or on em. He seemed surprised about my concern about the blood since he knew I had graduated college and studied genetics and all. I told him it weren't me as much as it was them folks on this here message board whats a breeding them blooded blueticks. Hope that about covers it.

It happens every year. September rolls around, humidity drops and the weather prediction is for the 50's at night-phone calls from folks I wondered if they were still around. Didn't see their pictures at the Post Office or on milk cartons and low and behold I hear on the phone "How them ole Blue dogs doing? I know you been goin." Snakes bother some, you know. We killed a pretty one last night-that made the 4th rattler in a little over a week, but who's counting-after all they won't bite this time of year. Betcha didn't know that did ya? They will however bite you-so be careful. Accidently broke off two limbs in a hollow tree last night-can,t tell you how many times I,ve treed there-too many. Forgot to pull them out when I left-might cut me a trap door with hinges so I can see up that sucker. Anonymous offers by anonymous people with big cash! Big something. Oh well-watch out for those little "white ones" and for snakes too. I heard a guy once caught his on pass-how bout that. Enjoying these dogs, look forward to each trip with them and friends and I firmly believe if you play by the rules, when you win you will enjoy it more. Jacob Webb called to say he was sending me Big Boy's Nt Ch certificate. I told him fine and thank you and made him agree to keep the GrNt degree when he and Big Boy earn it. We both laughed and said OK!
