Daniel said they drove 5 miles before they picked him up, how far the way the crow flies they dont know, but it was miles and not yards. lol, I have had him go 3 miles when coon aint moving. But he always trys to tree one in the area, but if there aint one, Look Out!

Yea he is fine. When you turn him loose he is going after a coon. Distance or Terrain does not matter. He is not flashy just gets under a coon. He is the true definition of what the Old Timers called a Meat Dog. Good Natured, never know he is on the place. Just a sweet nice hound.
me and my soon to be wife took o'l cotton to a meet hunt friday night treed a coon and there was only 3 coons brought back counting ours. went bulling riding saturday night.. might go hunting on wednsday

pups are doing good. tom lamb from ky. called today to say his young female treed her first one last night. i just got in from a hunt with mike hickerson and his rags female got by herself and treed one.
to this day i still haven't figured out my Jazz female. she does everything as far as trail mouth. trees layup's, sometimes opens once or twice then skips couple hundred yards and trees. sometimes trails. on one night you might think she was near silent, next night open all you would want a dog to. guess i'm not smart enough to know what she is doing. just know she trees coon.

tom lamb called me this mourning. he is happy with the rags female. he said she treed hard the last two nights. and treed a coon ahead of the other dogs. he was wanting to know if i had had her on heart worm med. i told him she has been on it all of her life. take care......

i bet you are right. i seen her at eight months old. trail off a cold track and tree it. and she tree good till i let her set up for about two months this winter. maybe the guy will make that cross again.
