Not lookin like it? I am riding along with my buddy to Ohio next week possably to deliver a pack of walker pup's & pick up a couple lil Reddawg's. Might even get to cut loose one of our Bludawg's? The 20th of march has way to much happenin unfortunately.
Them young female's are takin off big time in the past couple week's or so. "Stella" is the star of the class so far. I've watched her do a bunch of windin, not afraid to climb on a tree. Been runnin track's,rabbit, squirrel, coon that I'm aware of. I know I could tree a coon with her alone, not what some may expect. Not gonna drive in there & power slam but stay near her & get to her when she commit's kinda. A lil encouragement & maybe a coon or two she's well on her way. No deer in these part's this time of the year so no practice time in on them.
She is loose under her neck rite now but not real bad. Should go away with some growth. Not to bad lookin, real good loud course bawl mouth. She's a natural as are her sister's their just not quite to her level yet but headed there. For 5 month's old,,I think, runnin loose in the winter in some pretty good snow for the past couple month's they are doin great but just gettin started good of course! I have showed them one live coon & he wasn't in a cage. They treed him with a lil help from my year old pup trainer. Once they seen, scented & tasted they all went crazy.Couple had more glue to'um rite now than the other but the blasted coon got hung up so I couldn't get it back down to them & boredom set in with my lengthy attempt at shootin the limb off that was holdin it. ... I would say.....
One is better lookin, one is doin a lil more, all have good personalities & loud bawl mouth's, Very well cared for & allowed to run free since they arrived at the holler. Their also well grown in the respect that their runnin gear has gottin the best chance to develop possable. All travel good & will be showable. Couple more so than the other but their young & changin rite along.
Two have the lite cream colored trim & one has darker trim. One has a better ear set than the other two. I like one's head better than the other's. One has the potential to be a serious contender in standin purty contest's more so than the other's.
Personal observation's,opinion's & experience with them thus far. Their all gonna make the grade,in the timber, of course, but only time & a gentle hand is gonna reveal their full potential.
Been real pleased with their inherited natural desire. They are doin as good as any other's I've had on the loose this time of year. I try to capitalize off'n any opportunity that present's it's self.
