THANKS FOR PRAYERS.

DR HAS ME OFF UNTIL I SEE HIM AGAIN ON 7TH. THEN WE GO FROM THERE.

LOL ABOUT " WAL CUR ". I HAVE NEVER OWNED ONE. HUNTED WITH A FEW GOOD ONES. ONCE I THOUGH ABOUT GETTING ONE OUT OF THE OLD MOJO DOG OR MOJO MASON. BUT CAN NOT SEEM TO PULL THE TRIGGER. HAD TWO BLACK N TANS ONCE LIKED ONE DID NOT THE OTHER. MAY TRY ENGLISH ONE DAY, BUT THE BLUES ARE DEEP HERE I AM THE 3RD GENERATION TO HAVE THEM. NOT THE SAME BLOODLINES.
HECK MAYBE ONE DAY I WILL HAVE TO LOOK UP SOMEONE WHO HAS A GOOD RED DOG.

Good luck with your leg, hope its better soon. We saw a small flock of turkeys this AM, while we were checking beaver traps. They were jakes and a couple of hens. I haven't went turkey hunting for a few yrs, but my husband usually does.

I'm sure the turkeys aren't in a rush to get eaten so u better take care of your leg.
We saw a few turkeys and deer this AM while we were pulling beaver traps. No big gobblers, just jakes.
It was a nice day here. Got to ride Jas almost 2 hrs. Belle is lame, think its an abscess, but she might be trying to founder. The vet recommended I put her down a couple of yrs ago, but I wouldn't do it..

Linkous brought Hoss up for a couple nights of hunting. Owen was here so we took him along with us. Owen did really good tonight, we walked him 1.75 miles.

Owen is a pure joy to hunt with. He is a coon hunter in the making for sure. Already got the story telling down so much I swear he has some Bond in him I especially like the part where he wouldn't share his snacks with Papaw and said me and him was the coolest coon hunters. LOL

We had Ruby out on Tuesday night, the first she's been out since Christmas,. She treed twice: first in a hemlock then in an oak tree. We saw the coon in the oak tree.
Belle is still lame, but not worse.

Tonights hunt was even better than last nights. We cut the dogs loose I laid down for a min and Linkous said strike Bee, then strike Hoss, followed shortly by tree Bee, then tree Hoss. From the time we cut loose till they treed was less than 5 mins. Owen was able to see this one tonight.
