All of this being said, he is making a great recovery from the event.

I realize that some will think it foolish to post the previous two posts, but I promised to put the good, bad, and ugly on here.....and I am a man of my word.

I am satisfied with how Jack has responded. In life it is not if you get knocked down, rather it is how you respond and if you decide to get up...and for the time being it looks as if Jack has decided to get up and continue on his journey.

Jonathan Christmas, I would like to congratulate you on your new addition to the Midnight Moon Redbone Kennel. Tentatively named

'PR' Midnight Moon Rusty (GRCH GRNITECH Stringer's Hillbilly Jabo x 'PR' Cornhill Darrybones)

This male will make a fine addition to your kennel. He sure is a beautiful animal! And he did a good job on Saturday night.

I forgot to mention how Jenny did.

Jenny was on top of her game. She looked flat out awesome.

Larry I know you are proud of your hound, and I am too. She did a stand up job of representing both you and Jabo.

Rusty

Had Rusty out last night for the first time since I carried him home. There was 4 people and 3 dogs cast out and Rusty let all 4 of us put a hand on him, he didn't seem a bit shy.

We cut loose behind a sorghum pan on the edge of a holler, and it didn't take ol sam and rusty long to get treed. They was windin on the leash and when we cut loose 50yds and Rusty located and Sam fell treed while Rusty was checkin it. Then Rusty came on in behind him and hammered on it. They had 2 little bitty coons sittin up high, and the landowner wanted both shot out. The first one hit the ground dead and Rusty done a good job fightin it, so I drug it about 20yds and put it up a little tree jus outta reach for Rusty, and Dad's walker pup.
I cut Rusty loose on it and he ran straight to the tree and stood up on it.
We walked about another 200yds and cut loose again but didn't make anymore tree's. Rusty hit about 3 track barks along a creek but that was about it.
Dad was real pleased with the way Rusty hunted out and treed. He wasn't expecting him to do anything at all. But at the end of the night, Dad said son I believe you might have somethin there.

Larry I can't thank you enough for another great opportunity. This is the 3rd time you have been here to help me out and I do greatly appreciate that friend. If there is anything I can ever do for you please let me know.

I didn't get cut loose last night until late, but Jack had a good night despite of it.

Jack rambled back and forth as he got out there and struck in on a boar coon track that took him on a journey. He ended up on the other side of the next ridge. lol. I had a long walk up and down the whole way.

That coon tried to loose Jack a couple of times and made several good taps. Jack figured his game out and got underneath him. As for me, one shot one kill, and he came rolling out.

Jack looked good, but I did forget to charge my camera so no pictures.

I was wanting to hunt tonight, but mother nature had TOTALLY different ideas. It is raining sideways with 20-30mph winds sustained with upwards of 45mph gusts.....oh well....there is always tomorrow night!

Me and Jack gave it a shot last night.

I tried to get home as fast as possible, but I didn't leave work until near 8p.m. So when I got home the wind was already high. BUT, I cast him out the back door anyway.

He went deep and started to make a circle to re-check the creek. When he got back in ear shot, about 500yrds, I started calling. He come in and we called it a night. When I checked the weather it was saying that the winds were 15-20mph. All I could hear was wind, so I'm glad that he could hear me calling him in.

All in all he did a good job trying to make something happen on a bad bad night.

NITECH CH 'PR' Stringer's Hillbilly Jenny

I am proud to announce to the world that Larry Stringer has produced the 1st Nite Champion out of Jabo.

It is my pleasure to introduce NITECH CH 'PR' Stringer's Hillbilly Jenny

Larry has really poured it on Jenny and it shows. Jenny is a fine young hound that has come into her own and is a pleasure to hunt with....but she is a tough one to draw out against. lol

Congratulations Larry, you and Jenny both deserve that title and all of the good things that are yet to come.

Update On Rusty

Had him out tonight by himself in a wet bottom along the creek.
Rusty rolled in quick opened and sat down treed a little over 300 yds from the truck. He was choppin hard and held the tree long enough for me to get to him and see a big ole ringtail settin up high in the top.

This is the 1st coon rusty has treed by himself since I have owned him and he done it in style. And Larry there was no feeder involved in tonight's hunt at all.

Thanks again for another opportunity
