God bless you. Hope you get plenty of help of your daughter. My 97 year old mother has sitters 3/4 of the time and I sit the rest. After two years I am past broke from sitters , God bless them too, now she is working off her house and land value.

Lyle, Sorry to hear about your situation. Sat with my mom many times to give my dad a break when she became bed ridden. Took care of both of them when dad had bypass surgery. Sat everyday for a month with mom while she was in hospital dad stayed at night. It was hard because I also had TD and 3 small kids to take care of but I have no regrets. They are both gone now but would do it again in a heartbeat. Linda

Boys it is never good to hear about ill loved ones. I try to do as much as I can for my Mom. She is too tough to accept help though LOL!

Kris, My mom was pretty tough to but you just have to take the initiative and do things for them and don't tell them till you've done it. I put your mom on our prayer list at church.

Yes, those older generation are tough birds. She wouldn't accept help till she was 95 and had a stroke. She is getting better to the point some of the sitters might get a break. But she had her granddady here till he died at 1061/2 and I was 4 years old. But he must be where I got my love of running dogs from and my born gift of understanding tides and ricefields and mud. LOL.

Lyle, Sounds like you might live to be pretty old since it runs in your family. The younger generation could learn a lot about life and hunting from older people if you can get them out from in front of the tv. It's good to see ukc and some of the clubs have youth programs. Night all Linda

Good to see that the secretary is keepin' you fellers informed. Spotty bless your heart for takin' care of the cook, I'm sure everything will turn out just fine. Been busy as a bee with the slave drivers. Where's old Abe when you need him? Good to see everybody's doin' good. Bob Hudson's got himself a pair of beagles, been a huntin' 'em he said they weren't to bad-- Thanks to Beas for findin' 'em for him. I know what I'll be doin' before coonin' at nite this fall.

Good to here the ready set go report.

Mike, Now I know what your talking about just didn't know they called them aussies. The picture you have of ace looks a lot like the english sheperd that we had. Do you have to do a lot of training with them or is it basically instinct to get them to herd? Didn't you say you had puppies coming? Would like to have one but doubt I could talk TD into it. If you are having pups will you put their pictures on your website? Linda

Linda these dogs don't need a lot of training. It is bred into them. We sold one to a good friend of ours down south of Marion,IL and there kids were playing outside and Rhonda notice that all of sudden the dog stared jumping and herding the kids back toward the house. Rhondas husband went out and found a Copperhead in the grass were the kids were playing. So the herding instinct is there. They are very smart dogs. Yes we have a litter coming in Aug. Yes the pictures will be on our website. Tell TD you need a companion when he is gone hunting.

Mike See what I can do but won't make any promises. Getting pretty warm out there but there is a breeze. Electric company is here again but didn't take out power should get done today. Canned tomatoes this morning. I saw one of your buddies scurrying in the lane yesterday looking for walnuts. I thought I heard him say Mike can't get me. Have a good one. Hope We hear from Rex this evening about the surgery. I think we are going to get a few goats this fall. Maybe half a dozen. Big drop from 100 head. Just need to get the brush down again.
Linda

Thanks for the well wishes guys, got her home about an hour ago..instead of an hour,it went a little over 4..Doc. could only see1 tear on the x-ray..got in there and there was 4..,he had to put in anchors and reattach the cartilage to the anchors with 4 stitches in each anchor...then removed 7 bone spurs...recovery room was another 3 to 4 hours..but it went pretty well, she is going to have a lot more therapy than we thought..she is resting comfortably right now.....
