It sure was good putting faces with several names this weekend, thanks for stopping by and talking guys!

Brummy looked as good as I could possibly have asked for. We hunted Friday and Saturday night and he played mistake free ball.

Friday night if my cast members hadn't been struck blind I would have won with 225+. Bad break, but they'll get their's.

Saturday night we won our cast with 300+ which wasn't quite enough to place. On the first dump we took 2nd and 2nd on a coon. On the second dump we had 1st and 1st on a huge den, we would have been in great shape if he would have poked his head out, but he didn't. On the third dump I took 25 strike, the other three handlers struck on a babble and 2 of them went on to get scratched for treeing a possum. Brummy and a black and tan peeled hard left handed and drove a track about a half when the black dog treed. Brummy kept going and treed across Muckalee creek with the black dog leaving his tree and going to Brummy.

We had to swim Muckalee creek and I came as close to drowning as I ever want to. I was using a tree limb to kinda pull myself across and it broke and I went under which knocked my cap light off my head. I came back up and tried to grab my light and stay afloat and that didn't work, I went under again. When I resurfaced I decided to let the light be and thank God I was close enough to the tree growing in the middle of the creek to grab it. My light now lives at the bottom of Muckalee creek. They had a coon and the hunt was over.

It was an interesting weekend, I saw the bad side of the competition world on both casts but enjoyed it anyway.

Thanks Lance, he's doing a pretty good job promoting himself. He's won 6 out of the last 9 casts he's been in and that number should be 8 out of 9 but some folks don't want to play by the rules. I'm proud of what he's accomplished in the last year.

She went back up north. I bought 911 and Toby stayed down here. We are looking forward to the rest of 2012 and whatever happens. Next big hunt for us is Bluetick days. Are you going this year?

I doubt I'm going to be able to make it this year. Jessica is due with baby number two in August and I figure by May she'll want me staying pretty close to home. Congrats on buying 911. She got split off alone the night we went didn't she?

That was her and it was as slick as can be. Lol. I hoped you had forgotten that. The more I hunted her the better she got down here. Her daughter was queen at Bluetick days last year.

He is Dual Grand material for sure. I'm not much into shows. I'm more about the go than the show. He's a beautiful well made hound though.

Clyde,

After reading about your "RIVER" experience at the Classic. I have been trying to think how to make those cap lights floatable. Maybe a rip cord tied to your ear, when it falls off it inflates. I was also thinking, what about a chin strap, like on a football helmet to help hold it on.
