Glad u found the transmitter WB. We had an adventure today while looking for places to trap beaver. We had planned to go to two places. Stayed longer at the first place then we should have so my husband didn't think we'd have time to walk to the second. But it was such a nice day, I told him we should try. Right beside the parking lot was a stream then u have to go up a hill. After I figured out how to get across the stream with only getting one foot wet, I noticed Chuck waiting for me half way up the hill. When I got to him, he said "look that deer is caught" I looked down and saw a deer about 30' away by a big rock. It was alive on its side with its leg stuck between the root of a tree growing over a rock. We got closer to it and noticed its leg was almost ripped off. Chuck got close enough to it to cut the leg the rest of the way off. But before he cut it, the deer spooked and got its head and good front leg stuck between the roots and rock. We were hoping it would be able to get out, but after 5 minutes or so, Chuck got up on the rock and reached down and pulled it out by its leg. The deer jumped up, but with one front leg being 8" shorter than the other, it fell and slid down the hill into the stream. Eventually, it got up and walked down the stream aways until it could get out. When we left it was laying beside the stream. Sure hope she survives, but won't be surprised if she doesn't.
