Smoke x Lou, this should be an outstanding cross, coondog to coondog, treedog to treedog and Lou is a proven reproducer. Take a hunt with Robin (out of Lou), she is an impressive treedog that is all coondog, likes to get by herself with the meat and a pressure treedog. Hunting Smoke and Robin both by themseleves. Ole Smoke sure looked good last night. Robin is holding her own with Smoke.
Getting ready for the Qualifier this weekend. Just cross our fingers and see what happens.
Lou is in the breeding pen but hasn't taken a likeing to Smoke as of yet. Hope this cross happens.
Timmy is going to put his touch on the dogs for the next night or two. Smoke and Timmy has allways clicked.

Which is a son of old Mad Dog Blue Rooster II won King of Show at the Wisconson BBOA Sectional last weekend. Vickey was so proud of him she could bust.
Vickey also said they are ready to put him in the hunts right away. She said he has been awsome in the woods.
He is one good lookin rascal, dark dark blue and a mouth to go with his looks. She won't have any trouble hearing him no matter how deep he gets.
A person can here his daddy two miles away when he trees. In fact the the 13 year old fart treed one yesterday and Timmy had to go after him about 6:30 in the evening. I belive the old dog will kill him self to go hunting no matter how old he gets.
Should have finished Rooster II long time ago but I had quit the hunts to raise my family and he just didn't get put in the hunts. One thig about it is the old dog has flat treed a ton of coon in his life time. One of the good ones that got to old before you knew it.
Any way Congrats to Vickey and Barley on thier wins.

Tim, we bred Lou for the 3rd day in a row today. If we are correct today would be the 13th day. She doesn't like to stand for him much. Lou is really fun to hunt, straight as a string, handles like a dream, very smart, and will tree you a pile of coon. She likes to get by herself a lot and is a tree dog. We purchased her from Guy Houx and she was his favorite female. I'm really excited about this cross and hope she produces another dog like Robin.

Had a pretty good hunt last night. Cut Robin on the first ditch. She went 300 yrds and treed one in about 3 minutes. Cut smoke next. He fell treed at 200 yds. Coon was up small tree. Cut Robin next she went 800 yds a treed a big den tree. Looked like the mother of all dens. I hope they're ready for the qualifier. Smoke is out of shape from being retired for 3 months. 2 hours might be hard on a fat dog.

Won nt. Ch last night in Nevada with Robin. She did a nice job. I was really proud when she swam the mair des cyne river and treed the coon while the other dogs pulled up short not wanting to swim the big river.

Dad qualified Robin last night and got her 4th NTCH win at neveda RQE. I hunted Smoke and didn't do any good. We plan on giving her the opportunity to go as far as she can go in the world hunt.

It was diffinateley my lucky weekend, Robin got two Nt Ch wins on Fri and Sat and she is comming in heat this morning. But we still aren't going to breed her till we get her finished.

Robins mother (Lou) is comming out of heat so we will tune on her and put her back in the hunts while Robin sits out for a while.

Got a lead on a new Night Champion we hope to pick up this week or so and will be cranking on her for the hunts also.

I'm going on a 101 day outage at Montrose Station starting the 14th of April and it ends June 30th. Will be working 6 days a week, 10 hours a day. Already talked to them about getting off for the Reunion and the Nationals so that is still a go.

Took lou, smoke, and bug out last night. Sent lou and bug down hedge ditch. Lou treed at 950 yrds and had the coon. Bugs runnin track and locatin on tree but not treein yet. Next ditch cut smoke and bug. He got treed at about 500 yds and had two coon up that tree. Sent lou next she went up a dead end ditch and went to the end and came back. Ive been huntin small hedge pasture ditches and fence rows that no one around here thinks about huntin, been treein more in them than the big hollers.

Usually I don't hunt a ditch that I can't step accross. When you hit a track on those kind of ditches the coon has to go somewhere in a hurry, good for young dogs...........Tim

This is me proud uncle Timmy with my 13yr old nephew Ty this morning after he killed this big Tom. 23 pounds 1 1/8 spurs and 11 3/4 inch beard. Longer beard than I ever killed. I don't know who was more excited him or me. We called him in, in a textbook turkey hunt. He strutted around a lot before he came in range.

Tim, I hunted her and smoke last night. Sent Lou with wendy pup. Lou treed a cold track 150 yrds from truck. Had the coon. And smoke treed 100yrds from truck with a big den. Roaded him about 5 miles and her 2 and went home. She's looks better than ever. when u walk in to her u look at a coon.
