Logan was a fun dog to hunt for me. He is still kicking here and doing good. I have him in the kennel next to my Creek female. I think that makes him feel younger. She does a nice job. She has a lot of coon sense for a young dog and we sure like hunting her alone.

Yeah....scott so far shes been a pleasure to own, turn her out, goes to huntin, opens n ends up treed.....the older I get the easier life is w young dogs that figure it out right away.
oh, and when she gets serious on the wood a fella can hear her a cupl miles purty easily.

Thanks, Logan is starting to slow down and quite likely he will only be bred to our females if any at all in the future. He has done his job in the woods and the breeding pen. He still has a lot of young dogs out there in the hands of hunters.

Phil,
That was the first thing I said to my son was that it was a small bear. All I could see was a big black blob sitting up on a limb like a bear. As big and dark as he was and a short tail with no rings we had to get him to look at us first and then you could see his mask. He was in a pine tree that went into a huge den tree.

12 degrees here this morning. Plenty cold for November. It is supposed to be cold all of this week and then we get into the 9 day deer gun season up here. Hopefully we don't get much snow here for awhile so we can get some hunting in after the gun season. The northern part of the state has plenty of snow already.

Scott If you hadn't told me in that top picture I would have never thought that was a coon. He looks bigger than Creek. Its getting cold down here. Its suppose to warm up some this weekend and rain and then turn colder. I think its suppose to get down in the 30s first of the week in the daytime. That's pretty cold here in Ms.. Take care Scott.

Hey ole buddy looks like winter has settled in for y'all, 12 degrees is a little rough on a southern boy, I deer hunted all this past week with our lows around 23 and that's cold enough for me, glad to hear your hounds are still doing good and Logan ha producing some good pups, looks like Gary's Thorn dog is to, he's suppose to down down in a couple if weeks over here in the river bottoms by me and stay at my buddy's cabin and us hunt a couple of nights, good luck with your dogs Scott

Been cold here all week. It was down to 6 this morning but supposed to warm up some. As long as the snow holds off we will be able to get out hunting after the deer season that starts tomorrow. Hope things are going well.
