I just can't thank you enough for all the hospitality, the advice, and for a pup like Jas. Jordo and I enjoyed everything from the company to the hunt. ( No offense but I think he loved the hunt more than the pedigree advice, he loves seeing the dogs tree with the meat and I think he had fun with Nathan carrying him across the creek. ) Hope we can get together for more hunts in the future, Jay.

We enjoyed your visit as well. Keep me posted on the Big Boy pups, they should be some go younder coondogs. I liked the looks of the two pups that you sent to Ark. Jimmy will have a couple of good prospects in those two.
Tell Jordon that I am working on getting some pictures for him that he lost on his camera of Tim and Paul and their dogs. Might take me a couple of weeks to get them but next time I'm over to Tims I will see what I can do.

Timm and I are gearing up for all the hunts comming up but the wind this week is frightening and even with a garmin it is hard to keep track of the dogs. Robin got in 1.67 miles on us night befor last and we lost signal but picked her back up when we got around the section. Found her treed and blowing the top out of the tree and of course she was on posted ground right next to the guys house. We got to her and got out before we got in trouble.
We hunted Lou and Bug but didn't do any good with them either. Bug is just a year old and out of Turk X Lucy cross and only been in the timber 5 or 6 times. She is running track real good but still needs a while to get solid on tree. I like her alot.

We are planning on splitting the weekend between Clinton and Paola, Ks. Timmy said he might try to make Clinton tonight if he can get away from the sale barn early. He will try to take Robin tonight and take lou tomorrow night. I will hunt Robin at one or the other Sat.

Got a call from Mark and he said that his Smoke pup is doing awsome. She is treeing the cat constantlly. Scott's pup took off all byhimself when he turned it out and went huntin found the little feller two miles away. At 4 months old he might be a go yonder type dog looks like. Showin alittle independance too.haha

both hunted at Clinton last night. He hunted Lou and I had Robin. We both got beat on our casts but also had a good hunt and enjoyed it. Nothin to be ashamed of, the dogs all were good and we both were on cast that had good guys too. Each cast scored on a lot of coon. Coon were movin good and we both had super guides.

We'll hunt them up this week and go for it again next weekend.

all the Grand-Kids hunting last night. I don't know who had the most fun me or them. JC my youngest was intrigged by eveything out there of course and he was a blast. That boy has a BIG imigination!!! Of course grandpa might have led his mind off a little.haha
First dump Robin treed one that we squalled down a ways and the kids all got a kick out of that. Next dump Lou tracked a cold one down the creek and got it up and running hot. Treed it on the out side also. Seen 4 more sittin up. The boys all got to pulling up turnips and we had a snack. Most of them were not impressed with the turnips.haha All in all we just had a old fashioned good time.

Roy that is the best hunting when you take your grandkids. My grandkids love it . It is so amazing seeing it through their eyes. Barley Ray loves my youngest granddaughter so much he will do anything for her. He shows and hunts better for her than me .

Barley Ray will go for his canine good citizenship award next Monday night . We are going for his service dog certificate so he can go to childrens hospitals and nursing homes.

I like takin the kids but its a good thing we have garmins cause its hard to hear the dogs with all those boys. I have to slip away 50 yrds or so. Im sure I wasnt like that when I was little. Lol

Sounds like Barley is well on his way to being a dual or is it a triple purpose hound. I know you are proud of him.

For those of you that don't know Barley, he is out of Mad Dog Blue Rooster II and Mad Dog Sweet Pea II of Robbie Brooks. He is allready a Grand Show Champion and is a coon treein machine too. Good luck with him Vickey and keep him in the timber. Let me know when you put him in the hunts.

like Lou might be comming in season. She will be bred to Smoke and we look for big things out of this cross. Lou is Robin's mother so we allready know she is a producer. Should be a super cross with Smoke.

Timmy is going to Nevada, Mo. tonight with Robin and I plan on going to Marshall, Mo. tomorrow night. Still crossing our fingers. Robin is looking super tuff this week.

Tim. I could of used a little luck tonight. Had first tree on a hedge tree that split and on side went back to the ground and. The tops touch about fifteen other trees. Anyway it was a hot track into it but coon had escaped. Took minus. Then 3 of us got treed way off. We didn't know they were going around a huge dozer pile thought they were moving so took some more half plus. Caught emb at the pile we had used a hour and thirty five so I went on home.

Robin and Ranger drew out together at Marshal and we had a great hunt. We scored on 3 coon together, Robin had 2 off by herself and Ranger had 1 off by himself. If it wasn't for a minus that Robin got she would have won the cast. She really looked tough and you guys won't have any problems finishing her. Ranger won another 2nd place NT CH, this time with 850+..........Tim

hunting with Tim last night. Coon were moving and Tim put us in them. Both Ranger and Robin looked super tuff but I over heard Ranger tell little sis, Let Me Show You Hows It's Done!!! Ranger came from behind and won by gettin three 1st and 1st on her.When he was racking up the 225s and Robin was only getting 150 on each deal ole Ranger passed her like she was sitting still. First half of the hunt those two split one 700 yrds to the right and the other 700 yrds to the left. They bout walked us to death. Done that three different times and they each had a coon three times. Then they put two in hloes in the creek banks that got circled and then they treed three together. Ranger ended up beating Robin by 62 1/2 points. He looked really good.
Poor ole Tim was sittin on top of the world for about 30 minutes with 850 till the other cast came in with 1037 1/2 I think it was. They treed 6 singles where we treed 6 too but three of ours were split.
