Bow season started off really good. I was seeing good numbers of deer and passed on a couple real nice bucks. Once nov hit and things should of picked up it did the exact opposite for me. Gun season was good. shot 4 times and took 4 does for the freezer and saw a couple big dogs. Can't wait till late muzzle next week. Gonna be up north for a week chase'n um around.

Thats what Christmas is about. Mine are all grown up and gone but I get the grand kids occasionally. Hopefully there will be a couple here for the holidays.

Russ, you definitely have a couple good crosses going there. Sas is really loaded with all the right stuff and I already know how Kandi is bred up. Talked to a guy that has a litter mate to Kandi up in the eastern mountains of the WV the other day. His male is a bear dog, and he said a dandy. He got him tore up pretty bad the other day on a 300 pounder. He said just a lot of holes and no broken bones. He said his male,(Dallas) has no quit and is the best he's had in years. He's wanting another! I wish you all the best in your endeavor to better our breed and I'm glad your going down that road again. Glad to see some of that old stuff surface again. Gives me a warm feeling in my stomach. Good luck!

Corey, Good luck with the smoke'um pole! We got another season that come's in tomorrow but weather not lookin the best. I will be froze to the side of a hill somewhere for the next several afternoon's provided I can get where I need'ta go with the Dodge.

Schawn, That is an awsum picture of your young'uns!! I'll keep ya in mind deffinately in the Blue puppy baby sitter. Been several coon's age's since our young'uns was that size but like Ron, them grandpup's takin over now & I LIKE IT! (kinda what he said) !?


Ron, first of all thank you, all we can do is try it & find out I reckon? I beleive that "Kandi" would go on bear rite off. She is a gritty full steam ahead model as well & can fully understand where "Dallas" get's it,genetic's! Way better than tryin to talk'um into givin the bear a chance at'um if they just do it themselve's...LOL!!

Amaze' me the desire,grit & heart it take's for those long run's & treein for ever at time's as in the case of the lion & bear hound's. Then to cap it off sometime's they gotta do the WWF thing after all that & the rite good one's do.


We missed "Kandi" again or she never really came into a full heat? It was very short lived,like a week maybe. I been pasture checkin her with my bull,"I mean Patch" daily. Not gonna be no tappin that rite now. Mercy does she put the run on them!

She is causin me to scratch my head but not the first to do it. If you've seen the top of my head you'd fully understand...LOL!!

A really nice machine gun style treein female "Sas" is. Wish they all had her tree style. She'll look back like this & pound. She does scar a few tree's though....................... She will be campaigned to a GrNtCh & we hope to take her to a few bigger hunt's in due time.

I have about 35 request for female's & none for male's. I intend to keep one myself so if your interest in one get in touch with me. I would like to get some in different area's.

All this is pending of course if she stick's,has a live litter & more than a couple pup's but we have faith she will. Pup's will be born in the same nursery that several generation's have been.

Gonna be a few hangin in the holler here hopefully for me to wonder around with this next summer. I am gonna devote a bunch of time to these & with a lil luck I'll be huntin them alone before fall & can't wait!!

Throw in the added moutainside's coated with ice, "YEP", could be real bad real fast!

Not as of yet but should be a comin? I get a pretty good idea when the fresh rub's & scrape's show up of the ringtailed version just from a trip down the lane. When the trail's start formin from den to den it will be time to run a few into them blasted den's.

Last year we may have made one tree outa five track's cuz them stud coon's was a slippin in them rock's for a lil action & to stay alive I guess? I got a feeling our percentage's may rise this year but we'll see? Them settin up among the rock model's might be in for a rude awakening this year.

Think their gonna set there & be over looked with a couple mongrel's or three or four runnin their kin into the ground ? Been a few this fall that wished they woulda been the one's sinkin in the ground instead of sittin there watchin the flashing lite's below.

I wonder what they think when they see the disco action hone in on the tree their in? I bet there's a feeling of "OH $h!t"! !

2 days ago(i think it was 2 days ago,kinda confused on what day is what with 2 weekends in each week lately!!) anyway the tracks were goin where i believe a coon thats thinkin straight wouldn't go in this snow 'n cold!!! thats speakin from experience, i used to go travelin in some nasty weather 25---26 years ago ,, fortunately my wife lives closer now since that time !!!!
