Scott, Tater is lookin awesome! gotta love that booming voice!!

Aubrey and Ann, I showed Rev his first dead coon this last saturday and he just went absolutely NUTS! I layed a drag and set it up in a tree and he tracked it like a Pro and Treed it beautifully! He is very very natural and I love him a lot! He's got a great big voice and he is gorgeous. He looks exactly like his mamma with a white chest. Very excited to see how he progresses and looking forward to bring him to Redbone Days to show him off Thanks again! Here are some pictures taken a few days later still working with him, 5 months out of Rip and Foxxy! Best cross ever!

Scott, Tater is looking good as always!

Alex, great update and pictures of Rev! He looks great, and it sounds like he'll be a fun one to start. Keep us posted!

So, Aubrey took Tater and Rev's Daddy, Rip, out for a drop last night. Got out and struck quick, worked the track around the hill and warmed it up, threw that trademark, call-it-in your sleep locate, and locked down every breath with the meat.

We're excited with what Rip brings to the table in our program. We love what he is, and we are really excited about what we are seeing out of him. So far, we are seeing that big bawl mouth, coon CRAZY, early starting, EXTREMELY INDEPENDENT, good nose, belly-rubbing treedog, and lay-up ability in most all of his pups. They're all young yet, but early indications are promising.

Aub went back out for another therapy session tonight Dropped Rip solo, and later dropped Star solo. Both got the job done in style and had the coon. Heres pics:

Looks like you guys had a better night than I did. Dumped Bruizer and Luna on a road coon, must've had too much puppiness to get out of their systems as they ran past the track at first. Came back to it and started showing interest to take it so I kicked in Edge. Edge ran the track with Bruizer and Luna barking at his heels and threw a couple locates but wasn't too serious. (I think it made it to a hole) I don't think Edge likes to stay at holes from what I've seen. Bruizer started taking a track away from where I had heard Edge last, and the next thing I knew they were leaving the park property, and entering private property. (Gotta love the Garmin!) My young friend from here in town and I decided to start hoofin it, and marked the truck. 800 some yards later I was able to call Edge to me in the darkness as he was treed in someone's yard. Didn't check to see if he had a coon, for obvious reasons. Leashed them up and came home.

One thing I've been noticing lately is the coon I see run across the road sure aren't messing around at all. They must have rocket boosters strapped somewhere, they flat out fly!!! I've said several times that I thought my dogs were runnin a deer only to hear them pull the trigger and tree. Have yet to find a deer in the tree, but I've been finding some coon??? Strange...

Skunks are moving here. Their breeding has started. We're laying low till it passes. Keep that in mind if your coming to Hebron Sat.

Aubrey and Eric (a fellow coonhunter originally from MN) went out for a few drops last night. Put one in a hole, put another in a den (they could see it in there), and had one on the outside. Here's pic:

Bruizer Update

I'll try to not to get too wordy so people don't have to skim....

Took Edge and Bruizer out tonight. Road hunted Bruizer for awhile. Took a track to a hole once, went off the road and went hunting for a little bit and then came back, and then he caught one on the ground all by himself. He now has a nice piercing on his right lip. Not too bad for just trying to get him some exercise.

Scott, Steve, and Mike - Wow! The girls are really filling out aren't they?! Ellie Mae is a moose! They are looking good, and you guys have done such a great job with them. For those of you who don't know the Andersons, this was their first season of coonhunting with dogs, and just pups at that - Daphne turned 1 in January 2010, and Ellie Mae turned 1 in Febuary 2010. They have done a fabulous job at making their pups into coondogs. Keep up the good work, guys!

Aubrey dropped Rip solo last night, and he got one treed in an old abandoned barn. Aub then cut Star solo, and she got one treed on the outside. Here's a few pics:

You're amazing Heather, you know that? You've never met Abram, and yet you know EXACTLY what he's thinking! Let's see how they explain this picture, huh?!

Aubrey and Abram hit the woods with Bill and Carl Gudgeon tonight. They cut Chief out alone, and he ran a very experienced ridge runner, and did an nice job. Chief has a beautiful locate, and is a hard, loud treedog. Then they cut Rip out alone, and he ran a beautiful track and treed with the meat. Thanks for the fun hunt, Carl & Bill. Here's a few pics:
