Weather looks like we better stay home tonight then hitter' tommorrow night. With all the high powered open dogs i am thinking i may drag a washed up old nt ch along tonight. Course Fields is riding up with me and he is 2 out of 3 for nt ch wins. Smartest move would be round up 12 of my buddies and read about it on the ...puter lol.

Blu looked pretty darn good last nite, so tonite he will probably have his head up his you know what!! But I am still gonna drive the 5 miles to the hunt. Where else can you go and pay 20 bucks to get so much "great " advice on your dog.

Ok guys been waiting to see who faired in the hunt at Albia! Whats the story? Talked with Kent and heard his story. Coon was running I think, at least I saw some hit on the roads. man I bet it would be very muddy in a open crop field! Hey Corey how's the Rat pup that Engram if thats his name doing? Heard he hunted in Kirksville I think.

Bryan, i drew Scott and Locknut, and a couple walkers, we treed 1 coon on time out. I dont think i ever walked as much in my life as i did at Albia. Scott saved himself some misery and called it a night after that one. I had first and first on a running coon after Scott left but the coon made it home to a huge den. The end of the hunt lady had her chance, she treed a old lay-up right at the end of the hunt but left it, so it goes with young dogs. We saw 2 coon all night and we covered LOTS of ground.

Brian

I drew three Blueticks. All of which I have hunted with at one time or another. Two females and a male. It was a good cast with good sportsmen. Casts like this remind me of why I like coming to the hunts.

Thorson bet me before draw out that if he lost he had to wear a Packers hat to the next hunt. (TROY) If I lost I had to wear a Pella Dutch T-Shirt to the next hunt. Which to a native of my hometown is like wearing a Taliban turban to a biker bar.

Let's just say that if you are at Troy in a few weeks you should stop and say HI to Green Bays Biggest New Fan. ROFLMAO

Well sounds like ya'll had fun! I'll have to try and make it to Troy to see that. I was going to go and pleasure hunt lastnight but man I know it has to be so muddy out. Would have to hit big timbers then hope all the little creeks were crossible.

All in all at least you guys treed some coon and had fun!

My cast treed 2 coon. Won by a walker female with 200. We also had a couple dens. Did any one go down to kirksville?

I suppose I can live wearing a little Packers apperal. If was the Cowboys I probable wouldn't show up to another hunt this year.

Kirksville

7 nts 11 open.
John Monroe won nts and i think Jr. Demming's walker dog won opens, the only cast with plus. My cast all minused out. Lady looked ok, she split on the first dump but the coon was 1 tree over which put a big pinch on me. The second dump she split 1 tree over from the other dogs, they was slick she had the coon. Then she covered a slick tree which put us all out. The oldest dog in my cast just turned 2.

Licking the Wounds

Yah i was home all day yesterday lickin my wounds. I thought i was going to have a good showing right off the bat friday when blue went in there and split deep from the rest of them, but then he decided to do some crap he's never done before like leave his tree and come back in and cover the other dogs. It went down hill from there. Him and jenny got out of the area for awhile but didn't produce anything worth braggin about. At least i lost to a good guy and RED DOG. { At least it wasn't a walker} LOL. Had a good time but it seems i got to take a dog out and get his head screwed on straight again it was just pen stale im sure. It will be different the next hunt i go to. I wanted to stick around and chat a little after the hunt but my buddy bang his knee up pretty good it was swallin up like a grape fruit before we got home LOL. See you guys at Troy for sure.

Hey Corey just thought I'd let you know I finished Jenny to NITECH last night at Boone!!!!!!! She was looking TOUGH last night. Every track she started and Scorched to the tree. Had one coon on the outside other 2 trees were dens and couldnt get them to peek out but the one was enough for her to win her cast.Put a 3rd on her. I was proud of her last night. The walker guys in the cast couldnt believe she was blue LOL. She left them standing on their head.LOL talk at ya later.

Nice Job Joe

If I am correct, didn't she finish out with three first place wins? Never mind, I just read your signature and figured it out for myself. Nice job.

Good luck with her future litter you were talking about the other night. I bet they will be tough.

Good job Joe. That hunt friday did her some good then. She must a remembered what she was out there for. That sure is going to make that cross look very impressive now. I hope you and stuffy the best with it i'm sure they'll be burners from the get go. I took blue hunting lasnight but it was for a little reminder when he trees he better stay right there. He got round one of refresh course lastnight and i don't think he like it a whole lot. I made him stay hook on a tree lastnight for a half hour he thought about leaving it once but just once.

She just needed the RUST knocked off her I guess thats what the albia hunt did for her. LOL She brought her A game to Boone. 2 first places and a third place. I know she had coon on them other 2 trees just couldnt get em to look but thats the way it goes.

One's good enough if you win the cast bud. I think if we could moved around a little at albia we could possible got some plus points on our two meat heads. They were just lookin to leg it out a little bit there. Not saying it would change anything but they were looking to get deep and split there thats what happens when you leave them on the chain to long full piss and vingar and they'll do some dumb crap. But i would of like to see what would have happen if we moved. But hey at least someone brought back plus points and it was a good cast of guys. Was there alot dogsat boone

3 open cast and 2 nite's. I judged for the first time. I think i screwed up on her score. She should of ended up with 200+. She was alone on the tree with the coon and i marked down 75 cause I treed her 2 but she was alone on the tree just didnt think about it. But 2 place had 225 so it wouldnt have mattered. She had 1st and 1st on the other 2 trees.

Corey i thought bussey was just friday is it a 2 night hunt. Tommrow corey if you plan on hitting the woods let me know i just my make the trip down and go for a hunt. He starting to pee me off little. Took him out lastnight and he just look terrible on the first dump and finally on the second dump after me and him had a come to jesus meeting he look better, but still isn't acting like himself i might have to get him check out or he's just full piss and vingar still. I'm not sure what his problem is. But i'm goin to hunt him hard this week and make the trip to bussey. Tony should go up to mediapolis hunt it's closer than albia for him.
