Have been reading with interest the threads about percentages on our dogs and its relativeness to breeding of our Blueticks. Got me thinking about 6 Again and his percentage of dogs that have finished to Nt Ch or Gr Nt Ch. I make no secret of the fact that I enjoy getting the calls from you as you finish each and every one. I will be working up the percentages on every cross on 6 Again. Each time one of the dogs out of him makes Nt Ch-his % changes as well as that respective litter. For example 6 Again to Jodee Nichol's Nt Ch Treeslammin Lady (her last litter) is currently at 40%. Based on the latest issue of Coonhound Bloodlines-Lady is listed at #2 Historical and her percentage is 31.25-since her 6 Again litter is above her historical average-she benefitted percentage wise from being bred to him. The next dog that reaches Nt Ch from that litter will increase their litter as well as their individual %'s. Will be working on these crosses-hope you will just keep working on finishing these offspring into Coondogs and then Champions. Good Luck to the 54.

John-the litter your Buzz is out of-6 Again X Becky is currently at 22%. I use that term because I have gotten super good reports on a female-hard tree dog that I'm told will finish -no problem. Things do happen as we all know-a littermate male recently died-best I can tell there are only 30 something dogs out there still beating the bushes-less than 40 for sure. Do know of 5 that I would love to be feeding and give me 30 days with each one of them and there would be 5 more Nt. Ch's out of 6 Again or dang close to it. Few years from now we should be taking a hard look at all the grand pups-heck for that matter they are starting to show up now.

Coon Season Ending

Wait all year for it to get here and you blink and it is gone for another year. Just got in from a short round on one of our mangement areas-we go there to knock out a coon -tonights was pretty quick with the dogs operating like you expect them to. Had a call from Scott Phillips & Ed concerning the pups I sent up there. Also had a call from David Gardin today. David has 4 out of 6 Again over there in N.C. It has been good hearing from this crowd of good folks with these 6 Again dogs-all of you. If any of you can make it down or over for our March 10th BBCHA event in Roberta, Ga.-we would love to have you. This will be a rather low key affair with more emphasis placed on the congregation-than the competition. We have some of the best people in the world following these Blue dogs and we are expecting many from this area and surrounding states to visit with us-old and young-that is why we are doing it. If you do make it-you will be met with a smile and a handshake, along with a thank you for comming. Egos are left at home for this one.

At 8:27 am-just a few minutes ago the first of the predicted bad weather rolled in here--the Good Lord only knows what is in store for us today and for the rest of you. So many areas recently have been through so much and this season of activity is just getting started-there is as many storms brewing across the country as there are rumors about the Bluetick Associations. Just have to hope for a lot of hot air and not much permanent damage. On a more serious note many areas have had loss of life and devastation and I pray for all those people effected. Some threads on here have brought up Jet 6 lately and the extra go in the dogs. One female of note who doesn't get mentioned but who had a great deal of influence is Nt Ch Quail Creek Lady-at least with the dogs and subsequent generations that I have been associated with. Lady was bred to Quail Creek Jet and later to Jet V. She produced from both-she was the dam of the CW dog. I hunted with her with Billy Smitka in Mo. Lady and the Spanky Sue female matched up well with these Jet dogs -the rest is history as they say. Hope you get through these storms OK

I will be the first to admit when I am wrong. Reports are that those rumors were unfounded and everything is great. I also heard that Iran says they do not intend to build a Nuclear Bomb-good news all around!

Hey Eric

If we did all just get along-look at it this way-Eric-you would not have a job lol. I have been assured -everything is fine-Like Nixon said about the watergate breakin-"These people weren't criminals, they were serious!" Good to hear from you-cover yourself and watch your backside-rest of this crap will work its self out. Heard about another female from 6 Again-thought she was dead. Extremely independent but still breathing air on planet Earth. Looking for a good time this weekend in Roberta. I can now go to events and enjoy myself. In years past my job was to listen to the concerns, make sure everyone was treated fairly and in all that time no officer took any compensation or charged any personal expenses to the organization-we didn't have jackets with our names on them or nothing. We could and still do hold our heads up about the service that was rendered. I do not smoke or drink or do drugs -so I am responsible for everything I did and I not longer have to be politically correct. Good Hunting everybody and there sure are some interesting crosses being made and planned. Any plans for pups at your house Eric?

6 Again Pups or Grand Pups?

John and Dave -Sounds like you are talking about 6 Again's pups being in the hunts but weren't you really talking about grand pups out of him? The nt ch and gr nt ch numbers-wasn't sure about what you were referring to there either. Nothing new I stay confused! Last night it waited to start raining until we unsnapped the dogs. We had a great race and I even managed to find the coon inspite of the fact that my glasses were fogged up and do not have windsheild wipers. We had Terri Tooker out of 6 Again X Terry Tucker's Gr Nt Joanie -out and she is extra loud which is a good thing with all the noise from the rain. There are some doubled up 6 Again pups treeing coons and showing alot of promise. I'm like a kid in the candy store when I get calls telling me what they have done. Ed called the other night wanting to know if I had more males out of one cross. Time will tell. Good luck everyone-there are some more dogs out of 6 Again that are going to be making Nt Ch. I am just as interested to see how these grand pups do.

Thanks Dave

I figured that out right after I posted that reply. Read where you referenced Scott and it all made sense to me then. Quite a cross, huh? Thanks for taking the time to let me know-need all the help I can get-keeping things straight. Good luck with your dogs-when I can help let me know.

LOL, I Hear Ya Brother. Glad to see you're finally enjoying the comp hunts. I may get a little hot headed sometime, but that's only when I'm/Blues is getting cheated out of something she deserved. Well about pups...I've got pups out the ying Yang! You name it, I got it. Once I grand Blues, hopefully this summer, I'm thinking about a couple sires, but just ain't sure on which one yet. I bought a few male pups that are getting pretty good. I have a male here named maverick that is 6 months old, that is doing descent. Will tree, track across the swamps but a little slow...I got Picts, but have not had time to put on photobucket yet. We have all the homicides solved. Took them to grand jury today, and got a true bill on all. Now hopefully things will slow down... for this ole redneck, can get back to being a redneck, LOL...TTYL CW! Good to hear from ya!

Eric

Good to hear from you. I have only been on here for a little over a year and you were the first person to respond with information on 6 Again-so I got accustumed to hearing from you pretty quick. There have been several regular contributors and that has been the best part of this whole thing. Some of you from within the state and the South -others from around the country. Hopefully we all share a common goal of producing a better Blue Dog for all of us to enjoy for years to come. Thank you for this last year, good luck with your hounds and when I can help let me know!
